We are from out of town and so looked forward to going out of the way to grab some amazing and creative chocolate. Not sure we will make the effort going forward. We’ve been dropping in for several years and, candidly, the standards just aren’t there any more. The flavors used to be so pronounced and perfect. The textures, heavenly. Not so much the past several trips. Yesterday was the worst. Lemon cayenne has always been our favorite. The filling was gritty and not the quality of flavor and heat that it used to be. Some flavors you barely get a hint of its namesake. So unfortunate…….we want to love it. We spent over $70 yesterday for a few chocolates. For that price point, they should be amazing.
I drive from Wilmington to replenish my chocolates. Found them 10 yrs ago and so glad I did!
Delicious, convenient, affordable, clean, courteous, and safe.

I’ve been going to Escazu for years. They make artisan chocolate—hand-painted bars and confections in unique flavor combinations that are equally beautiful and delicious. The drinks are just as good—I particularly enjoy the chocolate chai with oat milk. The only change I would make is to the facility itself—there are few parking spots in the lot, which leads to parking on the street, and that may or may not be available. I would love to see them move to another facility with better parking. Even so, the chocolate is worth it!

Just visited this shop and found the staff member who took my order to be unpleasant and unknowledgeable. She didn’t seem to know if the cocoa served was drinking chocolate or closer to traditional “American” hot cocoa (cocoa powder + milk+ whipped cream). When I tried to explain the difference, she talked over me and curtly listed their ingredients. Then when I asked if I could taste it, she flatly replied, ‘No’. The spicy cocoa had a great kick of spice, but was a bit too sweet for me. Unfortunately, first impressions matter and they’ve lost a patron.

My favorite hot chocolate spot! It's more expensive than other places that serve hot chocolate because they use high quality ingredients. I wished they had indoor seating but I still highly recommend it!

So good that I asked a friend from North Carolina to buy me some and bring to Colorado! Not a lot of places that I know of doing goat milk chocolate too!!

Ezcazu has my heart! ♥️ I love to stop in and grab a coffee and a chocolate. The staff is always kind and knowledgeable. The smell of the shop is absolutely delightful. It is truly one of the best spots in Raleigh.

Thoroughly disappointed. Do you not taste your own chocolates after you make them? More than half the chocolates I tasted made me feel like I was eating overpriced ground-up cockroaches, no offense to those whom eat cockroaches. Although, the icecream was wonderful; the service was great, I would just say that eating the chocolate was like playing a game of beanboozled. They may have potential, but have a long way until they reach it.
