I’ve been going to Escazu for years. They make artisan chocolate—hand-painted bars and confections in unique flavor combinations that are equally beautiful and delicious. The drinks are just as good—I particularly enjoy the chocolate chai with oat milk. The only change I would make is to the facility itself—there are few parking spots in the lot, which leads to parking on the street, and that may or may not be available. I would love to see them move to another facility...
Just visited this shop and found the staff member who took my order to be unpleasant and unknowledgeable. She didn’t seem to know if the cocoa served was drinking chocolate or closer to traditional “American” hot cocoa (cocoa powder + milk+ whipped cream). When I tried to explain the difference, she talked over me and curtly listed their ingredients. Then when I asked if I could taste it, she flatly replied, ‘No’. My favorite hot chocolate spot! It's more expensive than other places that serve hot chocolate because they use high quality ingredients. I wished they had indoor seating but I still highly recommend it!
