According to their website and Google, they were open today on a Saturday for lunch. We showed up at 12:30 PM outside music was blaring. Every other word on the song was B.TCH could not believe it was coming from the restaurant. It was blaring inside also. Online there were no reservations available until 1:30 PM but when we walked inside the door, there were only one table with two people eating. I called on the phone called like five times. It rang and rang. Nobody ever answered the phone and when it went to voicemail, it said this voicemail has not been set up to receive messages. The girl asked if we’d like to sit and I said no thank you she said she would turn the music down and we said the music was very inappropriate and we left. I do not recommend. It was blaring loud swearing every other word, even in downtown Raleigh at noon on a Saturday this is very inappropriate. Hence why there was nobody at the restaurant even though they were open for lunch until 2:30 PM do not recommend whatsoever.
12/10, highly recommend! Each dish, drink and dessert was EXCELLENT.
Great food no, not great amazing, the octopus incredible, the freshly baked bread and oh my the freshly made pasta! The owner super nice e guy too! We will be back for sure!!!
We had very very high expectations for this restaurant as we love Averde in Cary and have been several times, however, Flour and Barrel fell very short. From the initial experience of walking in the hostess never asked for name on reservation and kept telling us “I know you have a reservation however it can be 5 mins or up to 3 hours of a wait, as people enjoy sitting here for hours” in the meantime, We had a drink at the bar. As we sat, the server never went over the menu, left empty glasses on table for a while, had to ask for refills of water, had to ask for clean plates, did not get checked on when food was brought out, submitted the wrong drink that was ordered etc. We also had to ask for the check from another server as ours did not check in periodically and could night find. Additionally, the food was “okay” many different flavors into each dish. Table bred (which you pay for) was very dry and did not taste fresh. The pasta with crab had no crab in the dish. We were a table of 4 and felt the serving sizes of each plate are considerably smaller, compared to Averde or any other tapas restaurant we’ve been too. It’s really just a small bite per person for each of the dishes we ordered. We enjoyed the ambiance, the darkness and atmosphere overall, and the music was great! We feel this can turn around eventually and Hoping to give this place a few more months to get through these rough spots, and will consider to try again. But for now and near future we will not try again or recommend.

Flour and Barrel is an amazing happy hour/dinner spot for any occasion. I have been a few times for a work dinner and with friends and it has been an amazing experience each time! The staff is extremely friendly and the food is amazing. I recommend getting the #Ghosted cocktail and trying the chicken leg, radiatore, and meatball!

Food needs work. Service good. Atmosphere cool but cheap touches like plasticy dental office furniture and dollar store table design really diminish appeal.

An amazing new place! We absolutely loved the food and were especially impressed with how everything was served, so much creativity! We had a few small plates and everything was absolutely superb, the combination of flavors and textures in every bite was delightful. I also had a small pasta plate and loved it.

Good spot for happy hour and sharing plates with friends. The moody new spot has access to a paid parking garage so access is quite easy. The atmosphere is darker and heavier than a place like V Pizza for instance but it was exactly what we were looking for to host our girls night. The service was good and the staff is friendly.
