came into Flour & Barrel for the first time this week. I was meeting a few friends for dinner and we had a fantastic time. Beautiful decor surrounded the restaurant, however our server Charles was the highlight of the night. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service- and even allowed me to participate in the shaking of my Radiatore. I can't wait to come back- great food and great people!!

The food was so good, I didn't even take pictures of it. Asparagus with burrata, pasta with crab meat and pesto, baked provolone and brownies. Not only it tastes great, presentation is one of a kind. I think it was my best experience in NC since I moved here in 2021. Drinks were great too. Rice bear and berry cocktail. I wish marrow was still on the menu, but anyway I'm coming back soon)

We walked in the other night with no reservation. The host was awesome and walked us right in with no issue though. The waitress, I’m gonna assume was young and new, didn’t really know anything, we asked a couple of questions on the menu and about the beer and each time she said she not sure and that would be a good question for the bartender, then proceeded to walk away each time. Very odd. The beer that I had was good. The appetizers we got were tasteless and oddly came cold. Our Italian dish was decent. Overall, from our experience we wouldn’t return, there are so many different restaurants that offer better food.

I will say though, the atmosphere was top notch.

They said homemade pasta but it tasted like pasta from a box. Had to add salt to the sauce because it was so bland. The brownie desert was extremely dry and had orange liqueur so strong it was inedible. Unfortunately a waste of money and very disappointing considering the good reviews.
