Queens customer service was top level and incredible, she didn't miss a beat and it's what I look for in five star service.
Great food and service! Our server Queen was amazing and made sure we had everything that was needed before even asking! There is a wait but it was well worth it!
Met a friend for brunch and had a wonderful time being served by Queen. Great food, great biscuits and great service.
We dined in this morning and had a wonderful time. Diane was our server and she couldn’t have been more amazing. She recommended the chorizo hash and it was a hit for sure. We will be back to see her at the bar!
Diane J was a great sever and the food was amazing
Southern Comfort Done Right—A Raleigh Staple for Brunch Lovers
If you’re on the hunt for the ultimate comfort brunch spot in Raleigh, The Flying Biscuit Café is it. I stopped by recently and was instantly charmed by the colorful, cozy vibe—and even more impressed by the food. Everything felt thoughtfully made, welcoming, and packed with flavor.
The buttermilk biscuits (freshly baked daily!) with apple butter are the kind of Southern staple that makes you wonder why every meal doesn’t start this way. I went with the High Flyer, and it was exactly what I hoped for: hearty, delicious, and totally satisfying. The creamy dreamy grits live up to the name—rich, cheesy, and borderline addictive. There’s something for everyone here too—whether you’re craving stuffed French toast, a custom omelette, or something gluten-friendly or vegetarian.
The vibe is laid-back and joyful, with colorful murals, friendly staff, and shaded outdoor seating that makes for a perfect weekend morning. Bonus points for breakfast all day and catering to a range of dietary needs.
Whether you’re local or just passing through, Flying Biscuit Café is one of those places that instantly feels like a favorite. Southern hospitality, great food, and a feel-good atmosphere—it checks all the boxes.

Diane J was great!
Diane J was the best server ever!
If you have eaten here, please check your final bills. They are changing tips. Mine was changed from $5 to $15 for a $20.55 bill. I’ve been calling them since they opened this morning and I’ve left a voicemail and sent an email and no one is responding.

Loved my omelette and especially the creamy grits (added cheese). Service was excellent. Because the place was packed it was really loud with each table trying to talk over their neighbors. If I lived here, I would eat here often.

Food was not good. My drink was terrible. This place isn’t cheap either. Great service and atmosphere. Attached is a photo of my macaroni for reference.

Scrambled eggs looked and tasted like hotel breakfast food. The potatoes were overly salted and not crispy but the service was great and so for that, I would try again.
