Pretty sure this place uses store bought icing and box cake. Mediocre and overpriced.

I would highly recommend this business! The owner is extremely pleasant and easy to work with. She not only made a delicious cake, but also hand-delivered it to our apartment. The price of the cake was also super affordable. Overall, an amazing experience!

I ordered through DoorDash and the cupcakes are just not good. They are so bad I’m honestly convinced some of the positive reviews are fake. They taste like boxed cake mix and frosting from a can, and I’ve seen other reviews on DoorDash that say the same thing. I can’t imagine anyone truly saying these are the best desserts they’ve ever had. I’m convinced they use boxed cake mix and canned frosting and then post fake reviews, because there’s just no way that many people like these. Of course (and I shouldn’t have to specify this) that is my personal belief. They’re just so bad I can’t imagine anyone actually liking them.

I have ordered from them twice. Both times the cupcakes have arrived quickly, have been very well packaged and very fresh. I’ve tried the red velvet, lemon, stuffed peanut butter, and stuffed French toast. All have been delightfully full flavored. Keep baking up these creations.
This place is good, haven’t ordered in a while, but will be ordering a big order for thanksgiving. Their cupcakes are delicious. A little hard to find the place, but once you call the bakery answers and gives directions.
I wish I had seen the review from Sydney before. This place is ridiculously overpriced given the fact they don’t actually have a store.
This is behind UPS warehouse in archive kitchen. The entry says caution do not enter and you basically have to pick it up outside. All of this would have been worth the drive if the cupcake itself was any good. I ordered a birthday cupcake with sprinkles for my daughter and there were zero sprinkles. To top it off the cake part itself was dry. Paid over $8 for two horrible cupcakes.
The lady who handed the order outside mentioned they will be moving to a store in November. The current price and taste for a pick up order makes no sense. We threw the cupcakes in trash. So bad.
The cakes are moist and the frosting is made from scratch rich and creamy the best cupcakes I’ve tasted

I ordered online and got there and was told that they didn’t have the cupcakes I ordered. But I was charged anyway.
(Edited.) This Smallcakes seems to have moved from the Hillsborough location to a building behind the UPS warehouse under the signage “Kitchen Archives”…a little confusing if you were looking for the Smallcakes signage so please note. They are only doing curbside orders and delivery it seems, you can’t go inside and it’s a little hard to find without contacting the business directly. From the outside it doesn’t look like a bakery, especially with the red “caution don’t enter” sign on the door. There is currently no signage and you can’t see where the items are being made. I think a bit more information about their temporary change on the website and possibly the door of the establishment would make this a more clear and satisfactory experience for the consumers. I’ve heard good things about Smallcakes which is why I traveled to go to the bakery, but it felt a little confusing and misleading without all the information being present, so I did decide to just purchase elsewhere.
Ordered delivery and the croissant club had a good taste but nothing special. Both my cupcakes were bigger than expected which is good since they were $4.50 each.Fresh and not too sweet. Now the smoothie strawberry/banana had a horrible taste because I used the paper straw they gave me! Luckily I had a plastic one available and after a few sips it tasted great. I know all about the environment but paper straws alter the taste of the drink and I'm not going for it. Glad I had a coupon for a free cupcake because this place adds up quickly and is very costly.
They have some of the best cakes in town. After doing about a dozen cake tastings I chose Smallcupcakes and Cake Factory for my wedding cake and I am so happy that I did! The cake was beautiful and most importantly, it was delicious!
Ordered from doordash. Absolutely phenomenal!! I ordered the Reese cup cake and the birthday cake cupcake and the very first bite was so moist ! And warm and was so smooth and just melted in my mouth . Every single bite after... was just as savory as the last . && don't even get me started on the icing ..ohh my goodness! It's like an explosion of extreme deliciousness in your mouth. I AM HOOKED!! Someone give this baker an award !! I can't get enough of the deliciousness in every bite!
