This is not the same GiGi's I remember. I ordered 4 cupcakes (2 wedding cake, 1 chocolate chip cookie dough, and 1 strawberry short cake). The wedding cake frosted tasted stale, the chocolate chip cookie dough was beyond dry, and the strawberry shortcake was stale. I will not be going back. $25 wasted.
I go here from time to time to get a cup cake for my birthday and today is my birthday so it was time for another visit. The young lady that was the cashier was very professional. Noticed that there were a lot of competition surrounding the store but I checked them all out and Gigi will always get my business because they have the best cupcakes. I took them to go so that no one could witness me eating them like a pig☺️
Went in to get cupcakes for my daughter turning 7, and straight off the bat, the people behind the counter looked like they’d rather be any place than here- he didn’t greet me-I barely got any conversation out of him. When I ordered the flavors, he stood still and I couldn’t tell what he was thinking or anything unlike usually people pack while you talk with natural back and forth- it was awkward. The quality of the place looked very chain-store and lower quality than I was expecting. Something like I might expect from Food Lion but add sprinkles for the visual illusion. Looked a bit stale and sad. When I opened the box at home, I realized the oreo cupcake had a white cream under the mini oreo and piped inside as well that had marshmallow (gelatin which here is usually sourced from pork) and many people from religious background cannot eat pork. I might as well drive the extra time to another cupcakery if it means quality cupcakes, and more personal interaction. The only positive was the nice customer that walked in and made the environment more friendly.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Gigi’s. When I went in to pick up a couple of cupcakes for a friend’s birthday. The young man working the counter the day I visited could not be bothered to share any information about cupcake flavors. He said he didn’t eat anything there and couldn’t talk about the cupcakes. He had a very nonchalant attitude - borderline rude and dismissive. It was a very disappointing experience. Gigi’s had been one of my favorite places to go for a treat. Unfortunately, the service I received was so poor, I will not be back to the Brier Creek location. Try your luck at one of the local bakeries instead of this Gigi’s. In my experience, the cupcakes are good - but not good enough to tolerate poor customer service.
EDIT: After receiving a very prompt response from the business, I’m removing the identifying information about the employee who served us. I only included it in the initial post because I wanted to make sure if the issue is addressed, they talked to the correct employee. Now that I know they’ve seen it, it’s best to remove that information. I hope they’ll take the appropriate action to stress the importance of customer service, so no one else has a disappointing experience. I thank them very much for their reply and hope to try the business again sometime in the future. If I decide to visit again and there’s improvement, I will share that update with all of you.
Gigis is always a treat!!!! Very good treats. The key lime and lemon cupcakes are my favorite!!!
This is such a cute little cupcake shop and the cupcakes are delicious. Today I tried the birthday cake flavor and it did not disappoint. Perfect snack for a cheat day.

Gigi’s Cupcakes at Brier Creek in Raleigh is hands down the best cupcake spot I’ve ever been to! The cupcakes were absolutely incredible—moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. Every bite was perfect. The service was excellent too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, especially the young man at the register—he was very polite, professional, and made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I normally have a great experience at Gigi’s Cupcakes, but this visit was a complete waste. I came in to grab a special Mother’s Day cupcake, and the guy behind the counter removed the decoration with his bare hands and set it directly on the counter. When I asked if he’d replace it with a fresh one, he said no — then tried to put the same piece back on with his bare hands again before I stopped him. No gloves, no concern for basic hygiene. On top of that, the brother-sister team working the counter were arguing the whole time, creating a really uncomfortable vibe. They didn’t have proper change either and handed me quarters. I ended up tossing the cupcakes
Delicious cupcakes perfect for special occasions!!
The store was clean and quaint. However, the cupcakes were unfortunately dry and not very flavorful.

Do not order from here. I placed an order online. Went in to get it and they never filled the order. Said they didn’t have it and had no way to check. I had to pull it up on my phone for them. They didn’t have 2 of the 4 cupcakes I ordered. And then we ate them that night and they were TERRIBLE! they tasted like they were a week old. Dry and nasty. It was such a waste of money and disappointment for my birthday boy.
I was the in the mood for a fresh cupcake. We weren't greeted, but I said hello and asked a question. The lady working hit us with an unpleasant look, and said what. We didn't feel welcome, so we just left. Seems like she was in a bad mood. I hope her day gets better.

Cupcakes were not as fresh as we would have liked. We were also overcharged. We had 2 separate orders, the first was 3 cupcakes and it came to around $17 and come change, the second order was 4 cupcakes and it came to $33.83. My daughter paid before I realized that the total was so I asked how much each item was because it didn’t seem right, he said $5.50 each and I told him we were overcharged. He seemed flustered and said he couldn’t refund the card and offered us $5.50 back in cash which still didn’t add up. We also tipped a percentage based off the original amount. I should have paid more attention but I still feel ripped off.
