Has gone down hill... was great when first opened years ago. now just bad, tastes bad, arepas are not the same recipes

Guasaca you use to be one of the best arepas restaurants in the area :( I remember going there when I was 17 years old and I’m now 25 so I really know you guys change so much arepas now are always burn and chicken-steak doesn’t taste the same (plain flavor) also very dirty

The food was good, good flavor and quality. But the service was quite poor, the girl who charged us at the end was quite rude and mean, her attitude was really quite unfriendly as if my wife and I had done something to her in the past. It's a shame because it's been our custom to visit the different Guasaca locations for a long time. We also noticed the place a little dirty and neglected. It's a good place to eat but please don't forget the little details that will make regular customers keep coming. Our visit was today 10/16/2024 around 4:30 pm.

Hadn't been since they opened, maybe 10 years ago? Food way better than I remember. I think they only had corn based wraps when they opened. And affordable. Shredded chicken arepas with cilantro sauce. We are getting takeout 3 times a week having rediscovered it.

The food is delicious, the people are supper nice and the outdoor sitting makes for a good screen-free break (because why would you be looking at a screen when you can be enjoying this great arepas!)
Whenever I'm in Raleigh or Durham, I want to make sure I get some Guasaca!! It's absolutely delicious, affordable, filling and the service is always great! You can customize arepas or select from their menu, you can't go wrong and many vegetarian/vegan choices!
This store has no point of comparison to the others, for example the one in North Raleigh, neither the flavor nor the cleanliness nor even the sauces, the room was dirty, the arepas were a bit burnt, I don't understand why this store should be different.
