Unfortunately, the service when we ordered over the phone was extremely unprofessional. The lady was so rude and nasty. The jollof was very weird looking, but it was okay. The egusi soup and pounded yam was DISGUSTING — the worst I’ve ever had actually. The egusi had a spoiled aftertaste, not fresh. The pounded yam was absolutely not cooking all the way through or proper at all. We drove to this business over 25 minutes away just to realize they left over half the order out the bag. We had to go all the way back and then they tried to charge us for the items that was missing! I was so disappointed in the experience overall especially for the unreasonably high prices. I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

Ordered with Uber eats for a friend in NC who's family just passed. Called a few times and finally got through to the owner. Didn't want a refund just a rectification. They forgot my drink and sent me burnt lamb. The owner was rude and pretty much said there was nothing he would do about it. Smdh. The meal wasn't cheap either. I pretty much threw my money away.

Tl;Dr Food is absolute gold, best plantains I've had ever. Staff is great. Lots of food for the price.I used to tell people, the best food comes from the worst looking places with the rudest staff, and that's always been true until now.But the food here was so good it almost made me cry. Brought me back to memories I had long since forgotten about. And the chef came out to check on us and was just the sweetest dude.

Had dinner here on a trip to Raleigh and the food was excellent. We tried the amazing fataya pastries, really good jollof rice and egusi soup, and they also have delicious homemade juices. The plates were more than generous and the staff was nice as well.

I ordered something normal some shrimp, collard greens, beans/rice it was the only thing I felt I could eat. My dinner guests had the oxtails and she loved it, the other one had the tomatoes pepper chicken I think. I tried the sauce and it was divine, wished I had ordered that. I one thing I was disappointed in was the choice pieces of chicken. I like white meat and they only had dark. Now I could’ve eaten drumsticks but was told the chicken is set up for customers to get thighs and drumsticks. Even tho I asked if I could get legs instead I was politely told that I couldn’t. I hope that when I visited again I’m able to get what I ask for.

The prices do not match the small portions or quality of food here. They recently went up on the prices too. $8 for a small ball of fufu. $30 for peanut butter soup with small pieces of lamb. Last time I ordered there were 3 small pieces of lamb and the rest was fat and bones. Not worth the high prices. The jollof rice isn’t the red kind it is a grainy oily brown rice they use instead. This restaurant needs to do better with their food quality.

I ordered chicken shawarma. It was my first time trying the dish. It was very tasty but surprised to learn that fries were included in the wrap. I didn't want extra carbs. But I ordered it anyway. I now question if it was really chicken. The meat was dark like lamb or beef. I ate half in the restaurant and the other half at home. That's where I took the wrap completely apart and recognized the dark, beefy looking meat. In the restaurant, I thought perhaps it was thigh or leg meat. Wrong! The restaurant was not crowded. The wait service was mediocre. My friend ordered their jerk wings. Now, that was phenomenal. I would go back again, for sure. But I would order something different. The restaurant was clean and colorfully decorated.

The restaurant was clean and charming. We were immediately seated and our server was kind patient, knowledgeable, and sweet. I’m not sure if it was the manager, owner, or both that came to greet us; but he was kind and down to earth. Making sure my cousin and I were having the best possible experience. But let’s talk about the food! I had the oxtails with greens and Mac n cheese; everything came out piping hot. It was well seasoned and put a smile on my tummy. It was so good! 10/10 recommend. I’m from out of town so if I do go back I’m trying the snapper next!
