Do not order online here. Their website did not notify them of my order, but charged me anyways. After contacting multiple times, in multiple ways, they have not responded about a refund of only $24.

Inside is very nice and soothing. Felt like I was at one of them spa places. Sushi was very good, very fresh. With 2 pages of sushi to choose from it’ll accommodate even the most picky sushi eater. I got the chicken and shrimp hibachi. Plate was nothing like I was expecting. It was garnished and was a piece of art. Wooden bowl for my rice, flower pedals. Felt wrong to mix it all together and dump 2 cups of yum yum sauce. Turning it into a mushy soup. Delicious!! Price was affordable and dosent match the quality that’s put into their food. Highly recommend and would return next time I’m working in the area.

We've tried a ton of sushi places in the area and this always remains our favorite! Wonderful, fresh sushi, hibachi that isn't a total salt bomb like a lot of places, and everyone here is so friendly. Don't let the strip mall fool you - Hayashi is fantastic always!

My boyfriend and I decided to try out Hayashi Japanese restaurant because we heard it. It was amazing. We were not disappointed!! we ordered four rolls of sushi via takeout and our order was ready promptly when we arrived and there was no waiting! I think the total wait time for our food was maybe 30 minutes which wasn’t bad at peak time to order to go food! Very impressed we will be back!

The food is ALWAYS delicious but we had a not so great experience with our last visit. They were busy and we do not mind the wait, however 1/2 of our table was served their food and they finished before the other 1/2 received theirs. Timing could have been better. Food is always on point though. Absolutely my favorite sushi around.

Hayashi makes the best sushi that I have eaten in my life. Every time I visit Raleigh I go there. The waiters are very courteous and the sushi man is the best.

The food and prices are great, an awesome family restaurant. If it was closer to my house I would be there weekly ?

Ventured out from our normal sushi mainstay to try something new, based on something we saw on Instagram. It turned out to be a fantastic choice. Upon arrival, there was a buzz and you got the sense this was anymore traditional restaurant versus those that position themselves as trendy. There was an electricity in the air and the sound of a bell being rung whenever someone leaves a tip at the bar. We ordered the omakase. The chef personally came out to speak with us, explaining the courses, and asking about allergies. Then our journey began. We had six courses of 16 nigiri and 5 rolls the chef created for the evening. Every piece was a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. You knew it was fresh just by sight, but it all came together when you slid them in your pinhole. All in all, this was an excellent first impression. I will return and explore the menu. My only negative is very personal, because I'm a lazy driver and would prefer a closer location. Cheers!

Overpriced and paid extra for the combination steak and shrimp to only receive the steak.

ambiance felt like we were inside a dungeon, overly dim lighting. regardless, we didnt really care and we wanted to try the food out so we placed our orders but our waiter's attitude made us feel so uncomfortable, we ended up just leaving because of how unwelcome we felt. we both work in the food industry, so we try to be very understanding, but it's clear our waiter was under the impression that we were two teenagers and hence weren't gonna tip well, and he let that reflect in his service. i will say everyone else seemed nice, especially the host who sat us. however, i understand now why it was dead during dinner on a saturday now if service is such a hit or miss. overly dim lighting. regardless, we wanted to try the food out so we placed our orders, but our waiter's attitude made us feel so uncomfortable, we ended up just leaving because of how unwelcome we felt. we both work in the food industry, so we try to be very understanding, but it's clear our waiter was under the impression that we were two teenagers and hence weren't gonna tip well, and he let that reflect in his service. i will say everyone else seemed nice, especially the host who sat us. however, i understand now why it was dead during dinner on a saturday now if service is such a hit or miss.
