I highly recommend this place on a Friday afternoon for excellent beer and people watching on the balcony.

Took a group for a business luncheon today. When we ordered the waitress said no substitutes today. I asked for a Reuben with no sauerkraut and she said everything was pre prepared and they couldn’t take it off. After getting our sandwiches there was very lil meat on them and more sauerkraut than meat. This was my second time In My first and last. Very disappointing for me with 3 patrons with me. No good !

Refused to honor my reservation. We got a two top outside instead of a four top inside near any heaters or the lively entertainment Upstairs .

I’ve been here a few times now and I’ve had a great experience until today. The second floor bartender had a nasty attitude. He definitely did NOT want to provide service. When we came to get our food, he was so rude.

Food is Absolutely horrible and not worth a cent. Service is non-existent. I am unsure on how this place got so many raving reviews. Proceed with caution.

Our favorite place for pub food and a cold beer. We had a large party and the service was great.

Honestly I used to love this place and day dream coming but wow don’t come if you are trying to have a good time.

The food was good but the service seemed slow. Getting a refill on my drink was difficult, if not impossible.

I’m appalled. The hostess would not serve us because we were “too intoxicated” the manager told us that he did not see a reason to not serve us but the hostess continued to disagree. She continued to say that my friend was “too intoxicated” but she is 21 and had 1 drink but her feet hurt because she had been wearing heels. This place needs to figure it out. I appreciate the managers help but I will never give my money to this establishment ever again, I was only trying to have a fun night with some friends. The Hibernian would not let that happen.

Got cut off by hostess because one of our friends was getting a piggy back ride. Thought we were drunk but just got down town. Refused to serve us even after explaining we were completely sober. I think she was jealous we were having a good time. We were asked to leave.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! My friends and I came in to casually sit and get drinks before 10pm but instead were told we would not be served for no reason. The hostess was INSANELY rude and continued to lie to stop us from being served even after the manager said we were perfectly fine. Absolutely will never be going back to this establishment and do not recommend unless you want to be treated poorly with no reasoning.

This was genuinely the rudest experience I have ever had. I never leave reviews like this but it is necessary in this case. The hostess at this restaurant refused to seat us at 9:45 when one of our friends was “too intoxicated”. All of us had only had one drink beforehand (all being 21). When walking out of the restaurant the manager agree that we would all be served and the hostess still tried to disagree with us. It’s sad because I used to love this place but I will never be returning. I would not recommend to come to Hibernian for food, drinks, or service. There are many similar places on the street, which is where we took our business.

I had dinner at the Hibernian Pub on Glenwood on Tuesday, 12/17/24. I did some web searching and chose the Hibernian mostly due to a Guinness special on their website. The website on Tuesdays all Irish drafts were $5 including Guinness. Good price for a good beer.
When I got the check, my Guinness was not $5 but $8!. The bartender/server informed me that there were no beer specials. I showed her their website and she said 'sorry there are no drink specials here ever'.
So, be wary of their website!!
And, in my experienced opinion, $8 is high for a draft Guinness.
