Three dogs were allowed inside this place while I ate my breakfast. Absolutely disgusting and a health violation. And my coffee was lukewarm at best. No Splenda either.

This is a cute little coffee shop in a beautiful neighborhood. I'm giving it 4 stars because I found them on Tik Tok and I was going for one of the desserts but they were really really low and barely anything in the shelf. I had the hot chai tea which was spicy and amazing and my boyfriend had the Americana was really good too. If I lived in the neighborhood and state it would definitely be a place I would go back to daily.

Matcha latte was stellar

Excellent iced Americano, but the real joy was in the homemade treats! I had the raspberry/ strawberry cheesecake shaped like a MUSHROOM!!

The top part was raspberry cheesecake.
The stem is white chocolate with strawberry cheesecake inside.
The base is a brownie and the entire thing is a work of art!!!

I cut out carbs and sugar....until I walked into Idle Hour. Lovely coffee shop, likely my new go-to when I need a change of scenery from my home office.

Cute Instagram worthy desserts, though very sweet and textures were something my child couldn't get over. A combination a jell, cake, frosting, chocolate shell, and cream. Service was fine, no issues. Parking was a little obnoxious. For the price of items I expected a little more of the interior. I do plan to try them again for the coffee.

Some of the best matcha in Raleigh and the nutella oreo cake is a must try :) A little pricy but definitely worth it. Good vibes all around

Weak and Luke warm matcha. Ordered a southwest bagel and it looked like something a college student would make. Bagel wasn’t even toasted, some random huge chunks of red onion and not a bit of seasoning in site. In a city with a lot of competition, this isn’t worth spending money on.

I've been here a few times. The coffee and doughnuts are great, the atmosphere is nice, but the service was kind of a mess. They really need to use names or numbers for orders, because half of our order (one drink and one food item, at two separate times) had to be remade since they just announce the items, so someone who had the same thing would just come grab it even though they came in after us. This also happened to another customer while we were there. It doesn't really make sense to have no way to identify that it's for you vs. someone else.

Pastries were very pretty but we were expecting more of a cake consistency and it's a thick gelatin on the inside and an off-putting texture. The purple matcha was good and the Vietnamese coffee was good but they did forget about my drink for awhile after it was done brewing

I had a cortado and tiramisu. I really did not care for the taste of their in-house blend espresso in the cortado. It had a flavor that I just didn't like, almost a Folgers instant coffee-like taste. I also had the tiramisu made with their in-house coffee blend, so I was a little apprehensive about the taste. The good news is the tiramisu tasted alright, but it was mostly filling and a very thin layer of lady fingers, which made it a little too sweet for me. The servers looked a little tired at the end of the day, so service wasn't cheery either, which is bad considering this is a service business. Personally, I would not come back here again.

There was a PTO meeting going on in one table, guys reading and people using laptops. Everything was acceptable until then school kids (literally) came in the place became madness!
