Iris has some of the best coffee in downtown, but they're a bit limited by their lack of options when it comes to flavorings. Their syrup options are limited to vanilla, cherry-marzipan, and honey, plus a seasonal option. The seasonal option is usually quite good, but it's adventurous and definitely won't work with everyone's palette (which is fine). I'll bump to 5 stars if they ever add a reasonably sized syrup selection.

Quite literally the best Matcha I have ever tasted. Staff is always so friendly, warm and welcoming. Amazing quality ingredients and amazing. Taste every single time without fail. Must try the Jasmine Mini Matcha!!

Nice little coffee shop in a mixed use residential-commercial building. Staff are nice. Pop music playing but not in an overwhelming way. This not a loud coffee shop but it is also not quiet. Bc of the concrete floors and the other features, all sounds echo. Also, the interior entrance is NOT wheelchair accessible. There are 4 steps down into the shop. However, the steps are next to the register so I’m sure you can order your coffee and have it handed to you without coming down the steps. The shop is wheelchair accessible from the outside only.

A hidden gem. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Fast and friendly service. Their iced latte was smooth.
I think you guys may want to rethink your ticket system because the writing on the counter may not be working. Our order went to someone else only to reappear a while later and get delivered to us. This seems quite unsanitary. Also, looks like they were mislabeled based on the smell which would be less than ideal if we had felt comfortable drinking them.
I’ve visited this shop twice and both times left feeling unwelcome. Delayed acknowledgment, unfriendly body language, and cold interactions created an atmosphere that didn’t feel inclusive. Whether intentional or not, the energy was off, and the food doesn’t make up for it.

Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful shop, helpful staff, delicious coffee and food. Sad that I can only visit this shop and not go everyday.

Such a cozy little spot! I really loved their coffee—the syrup wasn’t overly sweet, and nothing tasted burnt, which is rare. The service was super cute and friendly. It was a bit on the louder side, so maybe not the best place for a deep chat, but still a lovely atmosphere overall.

One day, I wandered into this café and tried their cherry marzipan latte and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m officially hooked.
They make their own syrups, and the flavor is just unreal. Rich, unique, and perfectly balanced.
I’ll admit, it’s not my favorite spot to get work done (it can get a little loud), but it’s perfect for a weekend coffee run or catching up with a friend.
Warm vibes, great coffee. Totally worth the stop.

Real nice and coffee was good, but $20 for three tiny coffees is steep.
A cool spot with really high quality drinks, foods, and hand cream! Their matcha and sandwich is the best I have had in Raleigh for a long while! The hand cream in the bathroom is a dream! Parking is easy too and their website has a cute drawings tell us where to park. I really appreciate the people who created this spot!

Hands down, best coffee and breakfast you’ll find in Raleigh. They make their syrups in house and rotate new options seasonally. They get their bagels from NY. Need I say more?
