I love the owner and employees at Iyla’s (so friendly, always so down to earth)— their Mac’n’cheese is to die for. Their chicken tenders are huge!! And if you want a treat please try the barbecue sundae (collards, Mac, BBQ all stacked up!). I wake up in the middle of the night and crave their mac’n’cheese— you gotta try it!!
Absolutely delicious and authentic fried chicken sandwich! The folks working there are friendly and helpful with menu choices! Highly recommend!

I told them not to put salt on my loaded tater tots if that is what they do. I have hypertension. There was sodium on the tots itself. Just be mindful that some people with hypertension can get real sick from the sodium, so if they say don't put it on there, DON'T. If you can't help that it's on there, let them know when they make such a request. Also, I asked about the amount of sodium in your BBQ turkey, I think it was, and you couldn't give me an answer. That's something you should be aware of (I mean, if this is your own business). That's why I didn't get nothing else even though I would've like to have tried more. I was scared to eat your food for fear of consuming too much sodium.

This hidden gem makes the best damn chicken sandwiches in downtown Raleigh. Tenders are fat and juicy. Tots are great! Don't skip out on the collards and the Mac and cheese. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. I eat here once or twice a week and it always, always slaps!

Would definitely give a 5 if my rating was based just on the food which was delicious! First of all my order was $22 I gave the lady a 20 and a 10 she gave me $2 back, bought it to her attention her attitude was like ok whatever, but she did give the $5 back, and the cook, just seemed like he didn't like his job, this was my 2nd day going there in a row and I noticed it the first day, then they charge for syrup for the waffle chicken sandwich, which is fine, it just would have been nice if she actually put it in the bag, Great food lacking in Southern Hospitality!!!!
