I don’t understand how this is a Jamaican restaurant & the food had absolutely no flavor at all. They also gave very stingy portions of Stew Chicken. The chicken was dry and tasted old as if it had just been pulled out the freezer and heated up. Will never eat from this establishment ever again.

I paid $27.05 for a Large Oxtail Plate. The Oxtails are tough, rubbery and dry, rice and peas no flavor and dry. No Oxtail gravy what so ever. Mac n cheese hard like a brick. I'm so disappointed I couldn't eat it and wasted money. I will not be a returning customer.
Customer service was poor. I walked in the cashier act like she didn't know anything. I asked what sides comes with it and what's in the vegetables she act like she wasn't sure. I had to lead the conversation when placing my order bc she basically was just standing there, no asking what I wanted to order. I asked her how long on the food, she says 15 mins. I come back maybe about 8-9 mins later if that and my food was sitting on the counter ready. I said Thank you when I got my food and no response.
I wish I would've read the reviews before I went. I only went there bc they opened earlier than the other Jamaican restaurants close by. I already knew they were high priced but bc of the quality of my food and customer service I will NOT be returning there again.
I have a video of my food and how hard the Mac n cheese is but I can't upload it for whatever reason.

I purchased an oxtails plate and beef patty on 05/08/2025. The food was absolutely delicious and was enough that I had two meals. The cashier was very friendly and helpful! This is definitely the place to go if you want a TASTE OF JAMAICA! It’s now my favorite food spot!
I got the large curry chicken plate and added the Mac and cheese. The curry chicken was dry and was not the thick sauce you normally get from a Jamaican restaurant. It was more so watery. The Mac and cheese were hard. The cabbage was not cooked all the way. Everything was unseasoned. Very disappointed. My friend got jerk chicken and she said her chicken was dry and salty. The people were nice and patient. Will not be coming back. Hope you all improve.

My wife and I recently visited this establishment with high expectations, eager to enjoy a hearty meal. We ordered the oxtail rasta pasta, shrimp rasta pasta, and a large curry plate with extra sauce. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfying.
Upon opening my oxtail rasta pasta, I was immediately disappointed to find only three small pieces of oxtail—a stark contrast to previous experiences at similar restaurants. My wife’s shrimp rasta pasta also failed to meet expectations, leaving her underwhelmed.
The large curry plate was another letdown. Despite specifically requesting extra sauce, the meat was overcooked and dry, making it difficult to enjoy. Considering we spent over $60, the quality simply did not match the price.
On a positive note, the customer service was decent, which slightly softened the overall disappointment. However, the food quality did not reflect the cost, leaving us with a sense of regret over the purchase.
While I appreciate the effort of the staff, this visit fell short of expectations. I hope the restaurant takes feedback seriously and improves portion sizes, food quality, and consistency.

Great place for authentic Jamaican food. Best in the triangle by far. The owner cares about her customers and it shows. I go there every time I'm in Raliegh. Always a great meal. Love this place.
