First time and We loved it !! walking distance to performing arts center . We were so happy to be seated at the large round table in a private lovely little nook. James took excellent care of all 6 ladies and eric. we ordered alot of misc food and shared . i had fried calamari/shrimp misto and margarita pizza . my friends forager pizza was amazing. garlic wings , shrimp/chicken alfredo —-great martinis , great atmosphere, and again James was awesome and we will ask for him next visit.
The service was great. The food was okay but the wings were not well made. Pizza was just okay.
The food came out swiftly but our waiter was absolutely terrible. He barely spoke to me and my husband. He was more interested in just standing there holding a conversation with the host. The manager was very pleasant. My wings were overcooked but the white burger my husband ordered and the forager pizza I ordered was delicious. Even when I needed the bill and Togo box the manager had to bring those things and when our waiter brought back the check he just dropped it on the table and left. I can understand if we were some difficult customers but we are always so chill and there to enjoy food. Our experience was MEH!
Terrible experience, first time here. We were seated at a few minutes before reservation time but waited 25 minutes to receive side salads & then hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. Obviously the staff could not handle the larger group tables & our party of two efficiently. My mojito had brown gross mint leaves, yuck. The chicken piccata was delicious. Our server ignored us probably because she had nothing to say but checking in would have maybe made us feel welcome.
We were not happy to see the 88 restaurant rating at check in for our 6pm reservation. But we stayed. We went for our son‘s 21st birthday. I ordered the fig flatbread. I was not pleased with it only ate a few bites, and the rest of our meals were smash meatball sandwich was pretty good, the Jimmy V pizza was OK, the chicken parmesan sandwich was just OK and the birthday boy enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. We've been two other times and enjoyed that much better.
Marissa waited on us and provided friendly, efficient and prompt service. She's a true gem!
Food was inedible. One bite and done. They didn't seem to care either. Literally gave them the entire plate back except the one bite. I would not trust their food. It was obvious they are NOT practicing safe handling procedures. They did nothing about the meal. Server acted like he was annoyed from the moment we sat down. Stay far away from this place !
Food was inedible. I ordered chicken wings, and let me say they were covered in garlic paste. I tried to clean one to eat, but it's altered the taste of the chicken so much, that the whole dish went into the garbage (well, except.the carrots and celery). It was take out. And I don't want to go back, but, honestly, I wanted to look in the eyes of the chef that poured the whole bunch of garlic paste into the chicken and probably ask him to taste one. Just like it was. On a positive note, Nick at the bar is excellent. So, join for the drink, skip the food.

Went to Jimmy Vs for lunch during IBMA. Had a salad and a tea; those 2 items were almost $20 with tax. Place was busy but most of wait staff seemed to be standing around. Food was ok but service was SLOW. Had to WAIT for everything. Food was delivered with no silverware. Other guest in my party had to ask for soup spoon. Had to ask for drink refresh. And finally when time to pay had to find someone to bring our bill. And of course had to WAIT some more for credit cards to be returned.

Spent the night in the adjoining, Sheraton hotel and went down at 9:15 for breakfast. Was promptly seated but then waited 10 mins to be served. (There were only 4 other tables and plenty of servers), food took 35 minutes to arrive and was delivered cold. Wife ordered French toast...no syrup served. Coffee delivered with no creamer and when creamer served no stirrer. The second meal was standard eggs, breakfast potatoes and sausage with toast. The eggs were the only hot food. It appears the sever got the toast order in on time as by the time it got delivered (after the rest of the food and having had to ask for it) it was hard and cold. Lastly, chef handling food with no gloves. Took it upon with supervisor and his word.."it's a known issue". Hopefully things improve.

Good experience at Jimmy V's for lunch. Came by with a group from work and we split the meatball appetizer which was delicious. I really enjoyed my chicken parm as well. Neat spot with nice outside seating as well

We visited on a very busy night - a concert was scheduled and postponed at the Red Hat Amphitheater while there was also a African American Cultural Festival was taking place outside. Torrential rain forced everyone indoors.
The good: Ethan behind the bar is an absolute rockstar. He worked so hard to get everyone drinks without any help whatsover. He kept his cool and kept making drinks. I work in the hospitality business and know how difficult that shift was for him. The food we ordered was delicious and served quickly.
The bad: The manager was utterly useless in the face of the sudden burst of clients. At one point he told bar patrons waiting for a drink that he 'wasn't even supposed to be behind the bar and couldn't make drinks'. Outrageous! He had no clue what the soup du jour was when asked. And once the rush was over, he put on his backpack and left while there was clearly much work to be done.
Give Ethan a raise or promotion - he is definitely an asset to the restaurant.

Worst experience ever at this restaurant. I ordered the salmon and it was bad. I was unable to eat it due to the bad taste. My husband also had salmon and his was ok. Overall very low quality food at this visit. If there is a next time I will stick with the pizza.
Fun place for solid Italian food. Server was excellent, neat environment with all the Jimmy V stuff, esp if you are a NCSU fan. The burrata and the calamari appetizers were as good as I've had anywhere. Italian hot beef sandwich was good, too!
