We brought out of town guests to our favorite French bistro during my son's graduation from NCSU. We like to sit at the counter to watch the chefs in action. Plus, you get Steven (the awesome Beverage Manager/Bartender) as your server. He is so knowledgeable about the menu and is a superior mixologist. Not to mention his attentiveness.
This visit we got to try the fondue and it was everything!

Traveling through several North Carolina cities as part of a pre Thanksgiving trip. Dined at many excellent restaurants in both Raleigh and Charlotte, but Jolie was the highlight of the trip. The food was excellent, and was as good as any we have had in recent months/years in DC, New York, LA, and Philly.
The steak tartare was particularly memorable as the dish was delicious but the presentation was the best and most interesting we have ever seen.
We just wish this restaurant was in DC so we could go often.

We visited this restaurant yesterday and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress, Olivia, was absolutely fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She gave great recommendations! The food was delicious as well. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely girls’ night out at Jolie, and it was exceptional from start to finish. We sat at the bar, where Steven—the bar manager—took incredible care of us. His service was warm, attentive, and elevated the entire experience.

We started with sparkling wine, which set the tone perfectly for the evening. The food was equally impressive: the truffle pomme fries were addictively delicious, the steak tartare with sour cream chips was beautifully balanced, and the pork belly with farro and sautéed kale was rich and flavorful. We also loved the salad with apple and Dijon, which added a bright, refreshing note to the meal.

The atmosphere was cozy, intimate, and exactly what we were looking for. Jolie absolutely delivered. We’ll definitely be back!

PS. Ask about the hidden cocktail bar.

We ate on the rooftop; the heaters and available blankets made for a comfortable meal. Everything we tried was delicious: bread and butter, escargot, herb frites, gnocchi, halibut and pumpkin crème brûlée.

Pros: atmosphere is good, music in the background, but not too loud. Desert was great- coffee cream brûlée

Cons: the appetizer ( mussels toast), and the entrees ( rabbit, and halibut) were extremely salty. I see other customers complained about the saltiness, so I am surprised it’s not addressed! The rabbit was overcooked.

Sat at the bar and Steven took exceptional care of us, from recommending not-to-miss items on the menu to pairing wines perfectly for our meal and sharing his creativity with a great after dinner cocktail.

Saw roaches (palmetto bug) coming out of the kitchen. We had just finished our meal and the server acted like it was an every day occurrence by saying “yeah it’s just because it’s dark, they come out at night”. She then proceeded to just kick it away and not attempt to kill it. We also saw a second one come out of the kitchen 5 minutes later. So disturbing to see. The food was okay, I got the gnocchi and it was super salty. It tasted like white cheddar popcorn and gave me a stomach ache later, I think because of how salty it was. There is a 3% credit card processing fee and my friend was also charged per lime slice when she asked for limes with her water. I just think those items should be part of overhead and not reflected so bluntly on your receipt, just seems strange.

Setting was nice on the rooftop. Each course was delicious and server Olivia helpful with wine pairing. Nice anniversary dinner wanted to have French cuisine to relive Paris !

Reserved a table on the rooftop for our anniversary, and it was the perfect date night spot. Heaters on the rooftop made a chilly night still feel comfortable. New waiter, yet he was very confident and knowledgable, and made for a great experience. Steak Frites were incredible! Highly recommend.

Love love love this place. Chef Summer, Amanda, and Elliot are amazing—every dish is absolutely delicious, carefully composed, and beautifully executed. Their teamwork is like watching a choreographed dance.

The hospitality here is bar none. Steve the bartender and Hostess Molly make you feel instantly welcomed. I am allergic to alcohol. Steve makes great mocktails and has a nice selection of different flavored sodas.

Jolie isn’t just dinner—it’s a reminder of how joyful dining can be when food, service, and atmosphere come together perfectly. And why I have a standing reservation every week! Thank you Jolie!
