Top-tier relaxation. Should go again.

My 9 year old noticed a dead roach in the mashed potatoes as the line server portioned it on the plate. Wife and I watched the server quietly call what appeared to be the manager and they quickly and quietly removed the mashed potatoes from the serving line. They didn’t apologize because they didn’t want to spook the other customers in the serving line. We struggled eating what food we did order with the thought of what the kitchen looked like and how they reacted to the roach in the mashed potatoes…It’s almost as if they got caught! Don’t eat here! The place is dingy, smells like old carpet and the people working there are not happy! Bad combination! The place needs a surprise visit from the city of Raleigh food inspection department…

Just horrible! Service at the food station was horrible. Worker talking about they understaffed. Mind you, there's hardly anyone dining in. Salad was brown and food was dry on the line. No thank you! Oh and the Grade was a 91.5! Another worker said she don't even eat there and suggested another restaurant up the road. Disgusting!

I was pleasantly surprised by this cafeteria! The food selection was better than I expected, with a good mix of comfort classics and some healthier options. Everything I tried tasted fresh, and the portions were generous without being over the top.

The staff were friendly and kept things moving quickly, even during the lunch rush. The dining area was clean and well-maintained, though it can get a little noisy when it’s busy. Prices were reasonable, definitely fair for the quality and amount you get.

The only reason I’m holding back that fifth star is because the menu could use a little more variety for vegetarians/vegans, and the coffee wasn’t my favorite. But overall, it’s a great spot for a convenient, satisfying meal—I’ll definitely be back.

The food is good but the staff are great. Marcus was very cheerful and really good with my kids. They weren’t busy and he took up extra time with them, helping them decide on each part of their meals. You don’t find too many people like him.

Kid-friendliness: Kids eat free on Tuesdays.

The faded dowager of a type of restaurant ( the cafeteria) that was once nearly as common as kudzu in the South, but now ( unlike kudzu) been nearly completely displaced by espresso bars, craft beer pubs, overpriced tapas bars, and other such unpleasantness. Stick to the southern standbys here: mac and cheese, cabbage, country style, steak, and the like. The desserts are still quite good, but in the style of "southern church covered dish supper". If "Great British baking show" is more your speed, keep moving... Unfortunately, the neighborhood around this location has declined dramatically, so come here after dark at your own risk...

The meats we're a little slow coming from the busy kitchen. My first choice eventually came from the kitchen, and the server replaced it on my plate before I received it.

Their fried chicken leg quarters is all greasy and a lot of skin but no meat inside of it. And their food could actually use some kind of seasoning would be nice. But again this is just my opinion.

No butter for the rolls, no unsweet tea, no silver ware, service was slow. Food was average.
