The food is good but the staff are great. Marcus was very cheerful and really good with my kids. They weren’t busy and he took up extra time with them, helping them decide on each part of their meals. You don’t find too many people like him.

The faded dowager of a type of restaurant ( the cafeteria) that was once nearly as common as kudzu in the South, but now ( unlike kudzu) been nearly completely displaced by espresso bars, craft beer pubs, overpriced tapas bars, and other such unpleasantness. Stick to the southern standbys here: mac and cheese, cabbage, country style, steak, and the like. The desserts are still quite good, but in the style of "southern church covered dish supper". If "Great British baking show" is more your speed, keep moving... Unfortunately, the neighborhood around this location has declined dramatically, so come here after dark at your own risk...

Food is seriously overrated macaroni and cheese was more like scrambled eggs with no flavor at all taste it like water disgusting me cornbread is supposed to be sweet but it was salty sweet tea was very nasty white rice had nasty taste no gravy added just disgusting food waste of money

The very unprofessional host didn’t support the lukewarm food and the dirty plate my husband had to request. Customer service is 100 required when serving the public. The host was very unprofessional and disrespectful. She made flirting gesture towards my husband. She became very irate when she became aware that I was aware. She was arguing with me while customers were in line. I support K&W for years and have never experienced such horrible customer service. I will be contacting Corporate filing a major complaint. The manager approached me and never apologized for the behavior of her staff. She did agree that customer service is important. I would recommend a deep cleaning for the Raleigh location and probably won’t ever go there again. Customer service and food didn’t move me to return.
