Food is amazing! Good home cooked meal! Love this place.
Over top awesome. Love home cooking. Good management and cooperatn during shut down. They stuck it out and made that much needed mental stimulus available. Amen
I received a pleasant and professional vmail when the entree I ordered was inadvertently not removed from their menu due to a shortage that was no one's fault. Thankfully I was not charged extra for the very greasy, undercooked-at-the-bone and partially inedible whole leg fried chicken I substituted. The good faith extra biscuit included with my order was just as heavily burnt on the bottom as the one I paid for and both of them were inedible. The broccoli was heavily salted and the cheese sauce was watery. The Cole slaw was dry and tart and hit the pail with everything else I mentioned. The mashed potatoes were good -- and the gravy was left off per my request. I have no idea what's going on there and I feel a certain degree of loyalty for the decent lunches I've enjoyed before -- but I cannot recommend K&W at this time.
Very good food the staff is very nice and helpful Good job everyone
Was never a fan. Bland food, just not impressed. Service was excellent, very clean, very friendly staff. The food is just so blah. Just my opinion.
My family of four went to K&W on Tuesday night, June 9th. We arrived around 5:30 pm. We appreciated how the tables were distanced and that the employees wore masks. We also wore masks. However, we stood in the line waiting to be served for several minutes with no one ahead of us or no one behind us. Though there were several people up front no one assisted us. We were just standing there without any assistance. We have been on a previous night and things ran smoothly, but on Tuesday I know they saw us and ignored us. We finally had a few people assist us. We have been regular customers for years. This happens again and we won't come back.
Had an issue that I reported. The problem was resolved within 24 hours and I will be back again. The manager was very nice and understanding. Food was delicious!
Too much salt in all their food especially the vegetables. Every time I order from here, the food is too salty. It has been a problem for many years. I try to come back after a few months but the problem persists. If you have high blood pressure be warned. I prefer D&S Cafeteria in Cary because this K&W has consistently overly salted food. Otherwise, their food is good. Just need better quality control. They need to readjust all recipes, so there is less salt in all dishes.
Lunch with a friend I had not seen in years. This was the perfect place for variety and it's easy on the pocketbook. I tried the baked chicken for the first time. Omg, it was very good. Seasoning was great!
Food was cold but servings were generous. The custard pie was tough and the crust was raw, service was great. Marcus kept our beverages full.

Haven't been in awhile but the wait was worth it. We were able to beat the crowd today for dinner and the food was delicious. On Monday and Saturday they have a 2 dinner special, 1 meat, 2 sides, dessert and bread for $17. That was an added bonus to the trip. My only complaint is that they changed the cornbread. It used to be alot better, now it's just dry and bland.
Always good selection of food. Monday special, dinner for 2 (entree, 2 sides, bread and dessert) for $17.99 is hard to beat for the amount and selection of food. Quick service, good food.
I have eaten at the Cameron Village location(s) of K&W for 35 years now, and have watched it consistently get worse. I'd bet I have spent $5000 here over the years, and I'm afraid that dollar figure will reduce dramatically unless things change. It isn't bad by any stretch, but the people working there have become more consistently rude while the overall value has gone down. I grew up a cafeteria kid and can rank cafeterias around the country pretty accurately, and this location of K&W seems hell bent on ensuring it doesn't stick around much longer.
K&W used to be a good quick meal, had not been there in awhile. I was so disappointed, the mexican cornbread was dry and taste old, they gave me a new piece which wasn't to much better. It is clear that they use can vegetables, which are mushy. This might be good to some people but, because I have eaten there so much in the past, I see that the quality has gone way down, this also applies to there other location on New Bern Ave, which might be a tad better. I miss the old days.
So I am new to NC and homeless with a baby, but you wouldnt know by looking at us. But while my daughter was in daycare I was out and about searching for shelter, finding a job, etc.. And I heard about K&W cafeteria. I want to admit that what I was told about this place was an understatement because the food and service here was wonderful !! From the server at the start of the line to the cashier at the end (Jahmelia) had great customer service. Then once I sat down even the waiter (Tyler) was very polite and helpful. Without them even knowing they made my day and first time experience here a great one. Great job staff and management. Keep up the great work. I will definitely be returning.
