I love Kai. I live in DC and come here every single time I visit my parents in Raleigh. It's the best sushi I've ever had! I haven't even found a restaurant up near me that tops it. My favorites are Angry Tuna, Crunchy Salmon, Screaming O, White Tiger, and Diablo. (We always get the five-roll special). We love getting a table with Mimi. Highly recommend, Kai!

Kai Sushi has become my go-to for a few years now. I don't think there is a place anywhere near the triangle area that can match the quality.

It was bland. I've had toilet seats with more flavor.

This place began charging everything in the menu in CASH PRICES 'without telling the customer that they are adding CHARGE CARD FEES (4%)'. This is a fraud. I called the manager for this and was told "You will get a credit for the difference next time if you return". What a comfort! The waiter didn't tell me the payment options! I hope they stay open this way crooked way by cutting corners making all loyal customers mad. The manager was rude in saying "the difference is shown in the receipt with detailed charges" (which I was able to get only after I requested the itemized charges). I have been going there for 20 years, but may have to stop going there after I get the 'credirs' in some way.

5 stars because when you pick up a to-go box and it’s heavy, you think to yourself “this is what $30 worth of sushi should feel like.” (Compared to a new bougie sushi place we tried the other day that left us hungry.) There’s a reason Kai’s line is always busy and the place is usually full — good food, good service.

I enjoyed our time at. Feels like a neighborhood haunt / secret and I love that. Good sushi, great service, nice atmosphere.

Tiny little spot with amazing sushi options and even the hibachi is good. The wait on receiving food is quite long and the service is minimal. We kept needing to flag someone down to get a refill on water or order a drink or even order apps. I would come again but only during a weekday where it’s less likely to be busy.

The best hibachi (NOT cooked in front of you) I have ever had in the RTP area or in the U.S. for that matter! The chicken is so tender and flavorful! Even little kid loves it!! The sushi and sashimi is fabulously tasty too!! It also offers alcohol, miso soup, etc. plenty of parking, has a food lion next door if you need groceries after eating.

Moved here from California, and this is the best sushi we have found in the Raleigh area.

My rating is 4, the service is good, the sushi is delicious. But some of the sushi fell apart and the presentation was a little unappealing, and the cola was watered down.

Jason and his staff provide an amazing dining experience. Always very fresh and super delicious. The sake selection is second to none.
