Kanki Japanese House of Steaks & Sushi - North Raleigh

Well, the chef that we had had been there for sometime it was not the chef we had requested who was Juan. I'm not sure if our server was new, but he was not smiling or excited in any capacity. It took him some time for simple items. Overall, it was just an average experience and that's not why we come to this location.

This place is always great. Its a wonderful experience for groups and/or family

Food was ok, was expecting more seasoning. The service was good, everyone was nice. Too many customers for the small building and not enough staff. Took 2 hours to get in on a Saturday night. Parking lot is way too small.

The food was lacking at this location. It tasted like they hadn’t cleaned the flat top. The bartender was super helpful and gave us space while sitting at the bar.

Sat at the bar and ordered the habachi shrimp and scallops. They were over cooked and poorly seasoned. The rice was just okay. Hadn't been there in a long time because of the last experience. Marking it off the list of places to eat. Service was fine by the bartender.

Great for ordering to-go. Especially nice that they can accommodate for gluten sensitivity too.

The service was good and we were enjoying the chefs performance and our food until it was time to serve the mushrooms. The cook was attempting to put mushrooms on the plate of a lady at our table and they wouldn't quite slide off the spatula so the customer took her fork that she had been eating with and scraped the spatula to get them off, the cook just laughed and continued to serve the rest of us and cook with the same spatula. Talk about contamination!! I was mortified!!!! I would think the cooks would be trained in things like this while cooking and serving everyone...

Darren was our server and he was outstanding! Never did we have to a So for drinks to be filled or anything. Very attentive and very, very nice. Food was great.

We had a great anniversary dinner at Kanki North Market. It was awesome entertainment and food. The service was super even though they were very busy. I would highly recommend for any reason but great to celebrate a special day.
