Lechon Latin BBQ & Bar

The food presentation was nice and looked inviting; however the flavor was just ok. Nothing spectacular and nothing close to what other reviewers had posted here.

The empanadas were super disappointing. They looked beautiful, golden and delicious. Once we took a bite, it revealed an empty shell with a sliver of chicken and cheese inside. We ordered four and all four were the same. Yeah.

Was a little put off by the server - all he did was take our order and bring us the food but he wasn’t cordial at all - just a deadpan humorless look.

I thought it could be because he preferred Spanish so I tried that and still got pretty much the same response.

I’m not asking for somebody who’s hyper, energetic and super jovial… I just mean somebody who’s courteous and makes you feel welcome to their establishment.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! The food is amazing especially for the price, and it’s close to everything. The Pernil, Adobo fries and Tostones are some of my favorites. The wait time is short so it’s ideal when I’m short on time.

This is the best Caribbean food you can get in Raleigh. The Cuban sandwich, all pork dishes, all the sauces, the rice and beans, the tostones and plantains…It’s all great, I always leave fatter here.

No steak tonight, Tea was not good…..not sure how this place had a 4.7 star based on my dinner tonight.

We stopped here for lunch after walking the mall. We got the tripleta sandwich, Puerto Rican rice, beef empanadas and yuca fries. The red sauce was really good on the sandwich. The rice had pieces of meat which gave it some extra flavor. The beef empanadas were nicely made and not too oily. I love yuca fries - theirs were crispy and lightly seasoned.
I do hope they start attending to people - meaning that they have waiters/waitresses instead of going to the front to order first and then sit down. I only say this bc their food and their space makes them a sit down restaurant.

This is one of Raleigh’s unknown secrets! The food is good, service is good, and prices are good too! This spot in Triangle Mall should be filled with clientele! This is a MUST TRY!

The first bite of my Cuban flat bread sandwich was like a warm hug on a cold day. Perfectly cooked. The portions of meat were on point. 10/10 would recommend if your looking for a slam dunk restaurant.

This is our first time to eat here and definitely not the last. The place is amazing. You could feel the Latin vobe from the moment you enter. The staff is very accomodating. Good thing that we went here during weekdays so there is no wait time. We ordered Lechon con Cuero and Classic Cuban. I have not eaten lechon so long and ohh the meat is so tender yet the skin is so crispy!! I like tostones so much and I’m glad the they give big size of tostones compared to others. The sauce is so great too! Will definitely come back soon! 👌🏻😋

GREAT FOOD! Came for lunch during the week and was super surprised how empty it was. In my opinion there should be a line out the door. Food was full of flavor and also great portions. I left full and happy.

Love the food, nice and quite fantastic service.. explains every entree to you in detail. I recommend the jerk ribs. Kids loved it. Music was the perfect background level. Also had delicious drinks

We had an amazing lunch! The food looked and tasted incredible, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The pulled pork was super tender, the sausage had a great smoky taste, and the fried plantains were sweet and delicious. The tostones added a perfect crispy touch. The presentation on the black plates was really nice too, and the portions were generous. Definitely a place worth coming back to!
