I don't know how many time I have bypassed the strip mall in Raleigh where Lee's Kitchen is located, but I have been missing something. I stopped there with a friend from work and ordered some stew chicken, which I haven't had in a while with rice and peas, vegetables, sweet potatoes and an additional side of macaroni and cheese. There are a few Jamaican Restaurants in the Raleigh- Durham area, but Lee's where have you been all my life. $34 might be a lot...
I make sure to stop here whenever I'm in town. If you are looking for a sit-down restaurant this is not that type of place. If you are looking for great Jamaican food this is the best hand down. I love the brown stew chicken and ox tails.
I am deeply disappointed at the prices they are now charging. A FEE TO USE YOUR DEBIT CARD, mac and cheese no longer considered a side, got to pay for it as a add on. and quality of the food is no longer what it used to be to be. Staff always has a attitude.!
