Mandolin has been producing great food for awhile now. Really enjoy stopping in for brunch and just recently got to enjoy their new lunch menu.

Just know the biscuits and gravy are made with Italian sausage. Thick and creamy gravy. The waffle was really good, and the chicken biscuit was also good. Food was the least positive part of it. Service was phenomenal.

It was our second time going here. It’s one of our favorite places that we will stop by everyone in a while. Sadly, the duck was no longer on the menu, which was a disappointment, but most definitely the lamb and ketchup. The day were amazing. Will be coming back next year for sure can’t wait to see what’s on the menu then.. server seem to be training somebody else but was able to refill our water and was very nice.

I went with a small group of friends for lunch and we had a wonderful experience! Clearly we were caught up in the chic vibe, exceptional service (Sarah was great!) and delicious meals that none of us took any pictures!

The seasonal soup was as scrumptious and unique and I ordered the veggie burger as they are made fresh based on the seasonal vegetables many of which comes from the owner’s farm in Raleigh. You can’t get more fresh and local than that! It was so good with a side of collard greens, that tasted great!

We all tried each others’ meals and sides. Cheese Grits, Salisbury steak, mushroom bbq sandwich and mashed sweet potatoes were definitely highlights, but truly everything was fresh, original and a combination of unique and flavorful twists on a traditional favorites.

We all agreed we’ll be back and look forward to trying the brunch soon. Mandolin is a must when in Raleigh!

Honestly, we were over disappointed by the food here. We came for bunch and everything was very average considering the price point. The homefries with tough and undercooked. The fried chicken was pretty bland and flavorless. The waffles were underwhelming. The only positive was the biscuits. The service was good no complaints there. Definitely a skip if you’re considering brunch here.

This is a cozy restaurant with wonderfully warm waitstaff and good food. You’re treated like a family member even on your first visit. The food is good, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is very friendly and professional. We were lucky to arrive just minutes before the lunchtime crowd came in, so it did get busy. I don’t know if they take reservations. The family owned restaurant is among 100-125 year old homes in a close knit neighborhood. We were advised to try the homemade pie but were too full to order it. But the way it was recommended, you could tell it is something you’re going to want.

Parking: On the street. It’s right in an old but beautiful neighborhood of historic homes and walkable streets. We got there before the crowd.

Misleading advertisement about Mexican food. $100 for a bunch of terrible food.
