Some of the best guacamole we’ve ever had! The staff was attentive and helpful! The portions were quite large and we left with a good amount of leftovers. Fine by us because it was so good!

The best Mexican food in Raleigh! Unique from other places around, it has a much fancier vibe and more upscale food but still at very reasonable prices. The food leans into some traditional Aztec fare and offers some unique items.

The service is outstanding, especially our waitress Ginny. They also have delicious drinks and solid bartenders with great drink specials.

Cannot recommend this place enough!

A group of friends and I came in here right before they closed. I was surprised when we were welcomed as it was fairly late. Our food was fantastic and the service matched it. Great atmosphere. I will be back

Wife and I went late on Friday and had incredible service. The salsa was the best I’ve had in a long time. Cheese dip was a good portion size. Our entree were both delicious. Our drinks were phenomenal.
Lots of competitors near by this place is the best.

The food and service is excellent. Portions are very generous as well. The queso appetizer is phenomenal. All other food was delicious, enchiladas, birria tacos, chicken soup, Mexican street corn. Highly recommend this restaurant.

A quiet event-less Christmas Eve in Raleigh was saved by the wonderful team at Mazahua Azteca! Their recommended cactus appetizer was delicious, a unique experience alongside a solid serving of standard birria and fajitas. Some of the best house Chips I’ve ever had

I heard this place had opened, so we stopped by this past weekend to try it out. Very cute spot -- in the location that was formerly Oak City Meatball Shoppe.

Very reasonable cocktail prices, we sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The Michelada was refreshing and the Santo Pecador was bright and spicy.

We were blown away by the Trenza de Arrachera Mazahua, the meat was so tender and seasoned. It also had this salsa/sofrito(?) on top that was amazing. The fish tacos were fine - they give you lots of fish, and it was well seasoned, but they needed a bit more cabbage as they were lacking a bit of texture. The side of soup was gigantic and so flavorful, ended up enjoying that more than the tacos.

We will definitely be back!

Stopped by for lunch, it’s a fairly new restaurant from what I understand. Really enjoyed the decor and the prices were very reasonable. Excellent value and portion sizes. The service was great too. The only minor (and easily fixable) issue is that the food was a bit bland. The rice and vegetables needed more seasoning. If they can iron this out, I expect to see this restaurant thrive! Best of luck!

We came here in the summer and now we celebrated my moms 80th birthday. The staff was nice. The food is really good. Being able to try some authentic plates made with so much carefulness and detail, you almost don’t want to eat it. Our party had steak, shrimp, salmon, enchiladas and all was great! Give them a try!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The website said it was open, we ordered online and payed. Everything seemed good until we showed up and it was closed. We looked back at the website and everything said it would be open. Really disappointed, and had to last second go to a different restaurant.
