I don’t usually write reviews but I had a very poor experience at Metro Diner today. Overall we absolutely love coming to Metro Diner, the food is delicious. Other than today we haven’t had a negative experience. We attempted to place a take out tonight and we usually call ahead and pick up. Sometimes pick up takes a while given it only seems that one person has the take out key pass and no one else can place/pay for an order without it. We called ahead and was put on hold for over 7 mins. We got tired of waiting and hung up to drive to the restaurant to place the order. When we got there we waited over 15 mins to get our order put in, the woman who was supposed to manage the take out wasn’t there most of the time and a line cook ended up having to take our order. It was clear people were getting annoyed and he was really great trying to calm people down by taking orders. It then took another 10 mins for us to pay for the order. We then waited for over an hour for our take out order. Everyone who had ordered before us (and had larger orders) got their food and had already left. We watched people get seated, eat AND leave by the time we got our food. We waited over an hour for a burger and chicken pot pie. We did not get a discount or an apology for the wait time. Honestly, this was absolutely ridiculous having to wait over an hour (with free tables available in the dining area) for a take out order. We attempted to try and talk to the manager but there wasn’t anyone there to ask, everyone was busy.

Came for the first time with a friend and while the food was good, the service we got from Samantha was amazing! She was incredibly patient, helpful, and overall seemed to love what she does! We will be back because of the is experience, thank you Samantha!

While in the area this morning I stopped in for a early breakfast with my daughter. We were seated immediately upon entering. Kourtney was our waitress and she provided excellent southern hospitality. The staff here are excellent. Friendly and courteous. Within minutes before we could blink our food was delivered to us fresh and hot. The Belgian Waffles are excellent. Very thick and cake like. I requested the famous strawberry butter. If you enjoy Dames' smears, then you will love this ! It literally tastes like strawberry ice cream. My daughter had bacon, hashbrowns and a waffle as well. She cleaned her plate so quick. I would definitely return because the service here is unmatched.

Visited with my whole family to celebrate eid. They had such great staff from beginning to end. The food was great, service, etc. added to my favorites. Definitely will revisit.

05APR24 - So good I came back! I had the shrimp and grits this time. Very good!04APR24 - HOLY WOW‼️Awesome diner in a strip mall. I got seated right away as a single diner. If I had been a party of two or more there would have been a minimum 10-minute wait. The place was busy!I had the fried chicken plate... It was half a chicken, wing, leg, breast and thigh. Fried to perfection. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans and a biscuit. All three were excellent.If you haven't been to Metro Diner you need to go. Especially if you're a fan of diners. This doesn't have the diner typical thousand thing menu but it is decent and so for the food is excellent.I will be back!Parking: Big strip mall parking lot.

Bilingual attention is excellent.The customer service staff is very friendly and polite.They only need to have one person taking care of the deliveries because sometimes orders get confused.

It’s always frustrating when restaurants don’t focus on quality for delivery orders. Today we were missing the dessert entirely, the ranch for the wings and the dressing for the salad. No one likes a dressing-less salad, it’s the essence of the salad. No dip for wings too! Ugh … I know everyone is busy but not hard to take 30 seconds for a quick quality check.

My cousin and I decided to have lunch at Metro Diner on a Thursday afternoon. We arrived around 2pm and were seated right away. There was a decent crowd for the time of day, but still plenty of tables open. We were seated at one of the last booths. Metro Diner is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of tables and booths. There's also outdoor seating. It's in a shopping center, so there's plenty of parking. Melissa was our server and she was wonderful. Great with suggestions and her take on menu items we asked about. We finally ordered after going back and forth about what we wanted. My cousin ordered the fish & chips and subbed the coleslaw for a side Caesar salad. I ordered the Bissell breakfast and upgraded to the carrot cake pancakes. I enjoyed every bite of my meal and my cousin did too. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The servings are plentiful.
