As a student I love Mitch's! They have great drink prices and fun events like bingo and karaoke. I do think the food could be improved but it's not bad.

I went here to watch the game and have some food with friends tonight, it was a great time. Melody, our waitress, was attentive and on top of things even though it was packed and she was clearly really busy. We've been a few times and she's definitely our favorite - ask for her when you come!

If you've never done Mitch's Tavern, you are missing out on a signal piece of Americana and a Raleigh treasure (just don't let the city council know or they'll decide to rezone the place!!)

Simply a college pub hangout, if that's what you are looking for. The grilled sandwich bread was delicious and the portions were fair. We went on a slow Sunday and waited almost an hour for food, so I wouldn't go if you are in a rush. One of the waitresses was very friendly through and made sure we got our food and check.

Mitch's Tavern opened its downstairs room for NC State wrestling fans following the team's successful 2024 Regular Dual Season Championship win over Virginia Tech. Thank you, Mitch's Tavern staff, for working hard to feed and support Wolfpack Wrestling! YOU ROCK!!

I've been coming here for well over two decades -- I couldn't imagine being the kind of person that would frequent a place that long while still thinking I'm too good to give it five stars. That kind of person likely drives the speed limit and is "allergic" to salt. That's the kind of person that somehow gets invited to a Thanksgiving, shows up empty-handed, and complains about the stuffing. They have a one star budget, three star tastes, and five star expectations. Polite society used to toss them overboard.

Came in around 1:30-2 last Saturday. Very slow service. Nachos were extremely mediocre. I could have easily made them at home(if not better). Had to go up to the bar to ask four our check bc our waiter "went on break" and forgot about us apparently. Not in a rush to go back.
Good spot for affordable drinks & an after-study shot (or 3)

When we got there the bar side was full, but there was a few open tables on the other side. Our servicer was very friendly & explained the specials. They offer typical pub fare. I got the chili mac 4 ways, a big bowl with a little kick. It's a college bar but we only noticed when it got later & the place started filling up. It was the low chill, good food that we were looking for.Parking: Two issues it's downtown & near campus. Before 6 PM, park legally & pay. We found a spot in the streets behind it.

Fun dive bar right across from NC State. Super cool that it is the bar from Bull Durham. We had fast and friendly service with reasonably priced food and drinks. Check it out.
