The dumplings are a must. Dipping sauces are very tasty. Restaurant has a great back story. Good sake too!
Good food, but at a bit of a high price. Something that's worth trying if the menu looks good to you.
💯 The Kimchi tots and Collards were sooooo good
👍 The Dumplings (while few) were filling.
⭐️ We also ordered the Lamb shank, which was perfectly done.
👎 The Lao Khao Soi was very mid, would not recommend.
I’ve been here twice and the first time all the food was fantastic but the second time we went, we ordered the vegan bowl (originally the pork belly bowl but we asked for tofu instead of pork, and no egg), and it came with rice, corn, pickled onions and carrots, and fried tofu..but it had no sauce?! It was so dry and flavorless, I’m still confused about this dish. The Chinese Cauliflower is delicious, as is the Vegan Lao Khao Soi, so if you eat here be sure to order those but skip the bowl!

The food was incredible: clean, flavorful, and not over-seasoned. Service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the host who greeted us was very rude — no eye contact, unfriendly tone, and made us feel unwelcome on our first visit. With such a great vibe and location, MOFU deserves a front-of-house presence that matches the energy of the rest of the experience.
All around a good experience, my wife treated me for a late birthday luncheon on Friday (6/20). The Pork dumplings, Bulgogi Dumplings, Wings and Brussel Sprouts were great. Atmosphere was not what I would’ve expected but I was very very pleased. I wish I could remember my server name because she was also amazing and attentive without being overbearing if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Highly Recommended, will be returning in the future.
Unfriendly service and way overpriced for the small portions they serve.
I made a reservation at MOFU Shoppe to celebrate a close friend's birthday — an important occasion we were all looking forward to. We booked for 8:00 PM, expecting a relaxed and enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but. Although the restaurant's posted hours indicated they closed at 10:00 PM, the moment we arrived we felt rushed. The staff quickly pushed us to make drink and appetizer selections, and within five minutes of being seated, someone returned to take our dinner order, urgently informing us that the kitchen would be closing soon. This caught us completely off guard — there was no warning at the time of booking, and nothing mentioned during check-in. Had we known the kitchen would be closing so soon after our reservation time, we absolutely would have made other plans. The rushed atmosphere turned what was supposed to be a celebratory evening into a stressful and awkward dinner. We felt pressure to hurry through our choices and eventually had to cut things short and find another restaurant to continue the evening. This was my first time dining at MOFU Shoppe, and unfortunately, it left a bad impression. I'm still confused why reservations are accepted at 8:00 PM if the kitchen is going to close shortly after. Transparency and good communication are essential in hospitality — especially when people are planning special moments. I hope they reconsider how they handle late reservations moving forward, so others don't leave feeling as disappointed as we did.
Great food and service as always! Was cold inside and had to move tables. Table next to us said same thing as did another table. Consideration to climate control should be had. I will of course keep coming back and that should deter you from visiting!
This was my third or fourth visit to MOFU and it has yet to disappoint! All items I've tried so far are delicious as are their drinks. I highly recommend the beef bulgogi dumplings and crispy brussel sprouts! I tried the soft shell crab small plate this visit as well and it was very tasty as well. The white pepper chicken was a great shareable plate. It could easily serve 4-6 people as an appetizer, but is a nice small plate for two to share as a part of a meal.

Food was bit overcooked and over sauced for grits. Note to others: ask for it on the side! The entrance area of the shoppe smelled of sewage, there are no specials despite what the menu says, was not asked when ordering if I wanted sauced with my bowl and had to wait for sauce after the fact.
My favorite restaurant in the RDU! Took my mother here for an early celebration, the food was delish as always with great, quick service!
Fabulous meal and great service! A great place for our graduation celebration. Looking forward to our next visit and more deliciousness!
I made reservations weeks in advance for noon time on a Friday. We showed up to the restaurant and the door was locked. We waited 10 minutes, but couldn't wait longer due to catching a flight, and the door never opened. I wish I could comment on the food, but we didn't have any.
MOFU never disappoints on the flavors. Just wish the seating was a bit larger on a two top table. Our first dining experience here was by far our best overall experience but we will definitely keep eating here.
