The curry chicken was just that I very plan . Oxtails was baby size, my daughter was still hungry after she finished her plate. The server was okay no smile just a regular server. She was stingy with the oxtails and I spent $60 for 3 plates 1 oxtail, and 2 curry chicken. I will not be going back ever.

Mums Jamaican Restaurant in Raleigh,NC is another iconic go to hub with all those sweet drinks from Jamaica in a glass refrigerator. Ox tail when tender, is perfect with rice and beans. Mums recipe is sweet, tangy, in dark mild spice sauce. The Chicken Jerk comes out with special sauce that is strongly carribean, but it is charcoal grilled which makes the meat really flavorsome. Among their house specialty is Goat curry. The piquancy of curry is mild when compared to India's variety of goat in curry-based dishes. But Jamaican goat curry also comes with a special ingredient that diminishes gamey taste of goat meat. Overall, we enjoyed our meal.

Mum kitchen is the BEST AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN restaurant I have been to thus this far. The food was delicious ?. Definitely a go to spot for me if I want Jamaican food. Customer service was amazing. Horrible customer service, ordered food and they said they didn’t make it when I went. Highly recommend not dining here the last time I ate from here It was a dead roach in my plate and also there was rat in the store when I was standing outside.
The food and service was amazing!! I had oxtails, cabbage rice and peas. So flavorful, fresh and good portions. Lots of products to buy to stock your spice cabinet with as well. Sea moss, hot sauces, marinades. I will be back for sure!!! I don't have spicy to post this time cause I ate so fast. But I will post one next time. Definitely recommend!

I ordered the Curry Chicken with rice and peas and a side of mac. The curry chicken, with cabbage, rice and peas was wonderful and i will definitely order again. But that mac and cheese was horrible, it tasted watered down and like powdered cheese with no taste. that was my only reason for not giving them 5 stars.Vegetarian options: cabbage, greens
