We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate my birthday. The beef Wellington defies description. It's so delicious.. We've never had a bad meal here! Our server was attentive and engaging. A beautiful day and a lovely dinner.!
Nice ambience; food was delicious and worth every penny. Hostess was very accommodating and attentive
As always, good was outstanding, service was perfection, ambiance spectacular. This restaurant ever disappoints.
We both liked our entrees— the meatballs appetizer is one of my husband's favorite dishes and I love the salmon there. They prepared a mock tail margarita, which was very good and brought a gluten free chips and salsa that was delicious. Morgan, our waitress, was very responsive and efficient. We had a great time.
The food and service are always great, but this time seemed especially amazing. Love this place!
First time dining here. Chelsea gave us outstanding service. Our Old Fashions were top-notch, but lacked the traditional cherry. Salads were great, and we enjoyed the Pork Piccata-ish, but thought the dish was a little more complicated than it needed to be. Overall a good experience worth a second visit.
I always enjoy going to this restaurant. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. The service is excellent and attentive. And making a reservation couldn't be easier. I will be back again and again and again.
**Restaurant Review: Northside Bistro**
Northside Bistro is a fantastic addition to the North Raleigh dining scene, offering an upscale yet welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Whether it’s a special occasion or a casual evening out, the ambiance strikes the perfect balance between refined and relaxed.
When we visited, the restaurant was bustling with activity—a clear sign of its popularity. Despite being busy, the food arrived promptly without any delays, which was impressive. It’s evident that the kitchen and staff work seamlessly to maintain a high standard of service even during peak hours.
The food itself was exceptional. From the warm, freshly baked bread to the decadent desserts, everything was a delight. The Caesar salad was a surprising highlight, with a dressing that stood out as one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The Beef Wellington was another standout, perfectly prepared with tender, flavorful meat encased in a flaky, golden crust. Every dish was well-crafted and full of flavor, making it clear that quality and attention to detail are top priorities.
The service was another high point. Friendly and attentive without being overbearing, the staff ensured we had everything we needed and checked in at just the right moments. Even with a full house, the team delivered a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.
While the prices lean toward the higher side, the value is undeniable. My family and I left feeling not just satisfied but genuinely happy. Northside Bistro goes beyond serving great food—it creates a memorable experience that makes you want to return.
If you’re looking for a place with delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming vibe, Northside Bistro is a top choice in North Raleigh. It’s well worth a visit.

Excellent meal & service with 1 suggestion:
Our dinner was absolutely excellent! Our server Ashley was friendly and efficient. We arrived with a reservation Saturday evening and were seated immediately in a nice comfy large booth. We started with a glass of Quilt Cab and an iced tea, then ordered our starters of Bistro salad which was so fresh, crisp w/delicious dressing and my husband had the Million Dollar Pie as his app to enjoy with his Cab. He devoured that pie in minutes!
For dinner we ordered the Hashtag Tuna which came with rice, broccoli, and delicious soy sauce drizzle all over of which he said was incredible and filling. I had the Short Rib w/polenta w/asparagus and it was dynamite! I could only eat 1/2 so my husband finished mine then said both were excellent but he loved his tuna best.
Another glass of Cabernet, plenty refills on my tea w/refreshed ice, then I decided there is always room for some chocolate ice cream/gelato. I think it was the best gelato I’ve ever had (in the USA)… if you like brownie flavored chocolate, you’ll love this! Creamy and delish.
By 5:30pm the restaurant was packed, every seat at the bar taken, almost every table, glad we had a reservation as a few couples were turned away that walked in, as they were booked full for the night. I see why! The music was upbeat. Seeing the bustling of the kitchen. Nice decor. Delicious food. Quilt by the glass is elevated. Our bill was $167 plus tip. PS I’m Gluten Free and they can make most every dish to accommodate!
Negative: obviously this must not bother most but it did me. Before we left I had to use the ladies room, our server pointed me in the direction, and it’s 2 (1 person) bathrooms that men or women can use. I didn’t like that I went in after a man, the seat was up so I used paper towels to put the seat down, there was pee on the floor, upon exiting another man was waiting on me to enter. I’m sure these were very nice men…but I did not like “sharing” a toilet with a man. This is not political, this is just the thought of me putting a toilet seat down from a stranger man seems very odd for such a nice restaurant. They could have a separate ladies and men’s room which I’m sure they’ve thought of but choose to do it this way.

Had one cocktail and only one main course. The food was absolutely sub par. Special salad took 1 bite waitress asked if I wanted a box?!? Didn’t even think to say was everything ok with your salad knowing I was done…considering that was the only thing I ordered with my soup!!

Quick. Delicious. I came at lunch. I had the shrimp and scallops. Everything was amazing but the broccoli was probably the best I’ve ever had. Will be returning soon.

Wonderful experience. I’ve never had beef Wellington and I was blown away. The beef tenderloin and gnocchi had the perfect amount of sear and sauce combination. The blackened prime rib had a tomato cream sauce and a perfect char.

This place is amazing! I had the beef Wellington and it was soooo delicious. Perfectly cooked, really flavorful. My husband had the chili and the million dollar pie-both excellent! You can tell the chef loves food because the menu describes how the dishes are cooked in addition to detailed ingredients. Really good food in a very tasteful, chic environment. We will definitely be back.
