Oak City Pizza & Grill

Oak City has quickly become one of my favorite spots near NC State. The new owner took over in August and he is super friendly and NC State alumi, which makes supporting this place even better. The food is great, the wings are fire, and the prices and portions are solid. It’s an awesome late-night spot on weekends, and I recently noticed they have some local beers on tap and Howling Cow root beer floats! You can really tell they care about the community and the people who come in. Definitely a must-try if you’re here on campus or in the in area!

Oak City catered a lunch for my organization and were so wonderful to work with! Matt was super responsive and made sure everything was perfect! The pizza was phenomenal! Would most definitely order again!

The pizza was delicious. The slices were huge, and two were only $ 10. The employees were very kind. Shoutout to the guy who brought out my pizza, he was very friendly and asked me if it was good and if I needed anything. You can tell they love their job and making pizza. Definitely come here!

Under new ownership and I’m about it! Great Stromboli with real mozzarella, yummy Oakey sticks w/ marinara, creative pizza salads, and amazing ‘zeps with powdered sugar and drizzled chocolate to cap it off. And with a lunch special @ $4.87 for a huge slice and drink…I’ll be back!

Amazing pizza and even better customer service! The cashier was super friendly and made me feel very welcomed. They offer a great-value lunch special that’s both affordable and delicious. The pepperoni pizza was rich in flavor without being overpowering, and the chicken pizza was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful, and nicely crunchy. The lunch combo came with a slice and a soda for just $4.87, which is an incredible deal. I also tried the root beer float, and it was packed with ice cream and absolutely delicious! Overall, an excellent experience. This place has quickly become one of my go-tos, and I highly recommend it!

OAK CITY PIZZA & GRILL IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP and it’s a COMPLETE transformation! 🙌 The food, the vibes, the service—everything is on a whole new level. I tried the OAKey Dokey Pie, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Smash Burger, Philly Steak, Fried Mac ’n’ Cheese Balls, and even a Howling Cow Root Beer Float… and every single thing was incredible.

This place is bigger, better, and absolutely worth checking out. The new team has really upgraded the entire experience. 🚨 IGNORE the old 1-STAR REVIEWS—those were before the new owners took over. This is a totally different restaurant now and Raleigh NEEDS this spot on the foodie map!

I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Burger, and it was absolutely delicious! A fresh twist on the classic Nashville style, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth coming back for!
