All the staff were very friendly which we appreciated! We felt like there was a lot of time in between table check ins though and for how long food took to come out and nearly 30 min from when we were done eating until we could get the bill. The food was very average- the ribeye was cooked medium the way we asked, but felt tough and a little chewy. The flavor was ok, but without the butter and sauce enhancements would have been just ok. We Didn't finish the steak, which is not typical for my husband or I. The lamb shank was also average. No flavors stuck out to us and it was not as fall off the bone as I was hoping. The mushrooms were very salty and swimming in an excessive amount of butter. Our server talked us into getting the ceasar salad, and again, it was only “ok”. My son's burger patty had a good flavor, but the bun was dry and could have used a sauce or aioli or something. Our bill was just under $300 for my husband, son and myself- and for the price, I don't feel like the meal lived up to the price. I would not be inclined to return based on our experience last night. It's a 45min drive each way, plus babysitter plus the meal, and overall it just didn't feel worth it. I did like how friendly the staff were though.

The food and service are outstanding! The steaks are the best in Raleigh and the chocolate cake is fantastic. The elk chops are fabulous and their sides will not let you down. If you have never eaten here give them a try you will not regret it.

It was an excellent meal with terrific friendly professional service. Steaks were terrific quality. All sauces were good except the Bernaise. It was watery and underseasoned. Drinks were quite good, though bar service was extremely slow. To make up the waiter comped our deserts.

Way too loud inside and could t hear my wife who was right across the table. Had to pay 8 for bread (a new one for me!) and Caesar didn't have romaine lettuce in it but did have chunks is of sardines in it which we didn't like. And manager stopped to wish us happy anniversary but never offered us anything - all in all an unnecessarily expensive evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Oak Steakhouse! We have dined at Colletta owned by the same hospitality group, so had high expectations. Not only were they met but exceeded! Brooke our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. A true gem. We had the steak frites which were AMAZING. A great taste of what this establishment can offer. We hope to dine again soon to get a full filet or strip to enjoy.

We visited for the first time last Friday and we were so impressed. The steaks were perfect, as were the bread rolls and mashed potatoes. Cocktails were delicious as well. I had the New York strip and my wife had the fillet. Both were cooked perfectly. Don't miss the dessert! We had a pomegranate cheesecake that has to be tasted to be believed. Our server, John, was absolutely wonderful. He was kind, friendly, knew the menu like the back of his hand, and made us feel very special on our anniversary. We felt so taken care of. This is a really special place. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Raleigh or celebrating a special occasion.
This was my husband and I's second visit to Oak Steakhouse, and we chose it to celebrate his birthday yesterday. From start to finish, the service was excellent. I loved the intimate atmosphere, the delicious food, and the attentiveness of our server. Everything made the evening so special, and we'll definitely be back again!

Everything was very good. Nice selection of appetizers and entrees including choice steaks. Oysters Rockefeller were particularly good and to the credit of the restaurant, I had one that appeared spoiled and they gave me another one even though I did not request. That was super good service.
