AWESOMEDATENIGHT

Can't say enough positive things about our dining experience! From the Hostess, to Jamie the Manager and James our server, EVERYTHING WAS TOP NOTCH FIRST CLASS SERVICE & the food TRULY SPEAKS for itself. We have already made reservations to celebrate My Wife's Birthday there next month.

The ambience of the restaurant was good. The restaurant was busy and loud. Once we ordered it took an hour for food to arrive. We were told this was due to how busy the restaurant was. When the food arrived it was cold, although it did still taste good. Overall the restaurant was a disappointment for the high cost of the food. I would not recommend this restaurant to others.

We love Oak and will miss it!! Loved that you had the NCSU logo on the menu and you were all SO kind to our graduating daughter. Amazing staff here and we will return whenever we're in Raleigh. Thank you for 4 years of fabulous meals. Wonderful wait staff and the manager is awesome—he always comes over to say hello. Thank you for EVERYTHING!!!! xoxoxox

We came back to Oak because of the wonderful experience that Eric, our server, and Nick, the general manager, provided for us on our last visit. This time around they not only matched, but exceeded, our expectations with the highest level on genuine care and hospitality for me and my business partners who traveled in from various parts of the country. A visit to Oak Steakhouse is now their top priority when they come to town, and I will gladly accept that request every time. Thank you to the staff both in the front and back of house for always welcoming us and providing a great meal.

Beware, they offer bread but it is not free and they don't tell you that. It IS listed on the menu but I agreed to the bread before I saw it listed on the menu. 4 rolls for $7 is ridiculous, I don't care how special they think it is. We have never paid for bread at any steakhouse in NY. The appetizers were fine and my youngest enjoyed the Caesar Salad very much but $65 for a steak that is not cooked properly is very sad. 2 members of our party received steaks that were not cooked properly and the steaks were tough. I've had better steak at Texas Roadhouse. We did not send them back because I did not want to ruin our birthday dinner. For dessert we had the Chocolate Cake and the Blood Orange Bavarian. The Bavarian was excellent and just what was needed at the end of the meal. The Chocolate Cake was extremely dry and I did not enjoy it. Our normal go to for a special occasion is Capital Grill so I am prepared to pay for a great dinner. Sadly this was not what we received at Oak Steakhouse. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Eric was a fantastic server. Experienced, which is becoming rare in high end dining. Their take on Caesar salad was delicious, as well as the bone marrow appetizer. Beautiful dining room

Always a great time. I tend to go 2-3 times a year and the service and food is always great. I like that the menu does not change much, so that the items available are perfected. You know what you are getting when you visit Oak Steakhouse.

The steak with the Steak Frites was the most tender and flavorful I've ever had. I wish there were smaller options available for the sides. Interesting wine list. Way too much for just 2 people. Music too loud to have a conversation across the table. Like that the tables are not too close together. Waitstaff really attentive without being overbearing.

Right when we walked in, Nicholas greeted us and let us meet our server, James, before the rest of our birthday party arrived. We were able to make celebration and payment arrangements with James, and that made the dinner more enjoyable. James did a great job spacing out the dishes that we ordered. We did stay there for over 3 hours, but I feel like if we had told James that we preferred a slightly faster pace, he would have obliged us. The food and service were outstanding. An added bonus was that our 10 year daughter enjoyed the dinner, even amongst us old people. The staff's treatment of her made her feel welcomed.

We were in town for a wedding and met friends at Oak Steakhouse for a dinner visit: the food and service was wonderful! It was a delightful evening~ thanks to all the management and staff for a lovely time.

We went out to have a steak for dinner. It was so bad we had to send it back and we left hungry. We went to a restaurant around the corner to eat dinner after this dinner. Service was top-notch but the chef had no idea what he was doing. The steak came out raw the first time and then the second time he put it under an open flame and it had a burnt black taste, but no seasoning or flavor whatsoever. It was barely edible.

From the moment we entered, we felt elevated by the kind greeting. Our party came at different times, but we were made to feel it was perfectly fine. Settled in, and our server, Casey, took charge with a wealth of suggestions. Wine selection was excellent, some pricy, but provided a wow - treat factor. Elk chop was the star of the show and will be my new fav. Casey teased us by bringing a meringue and blood orange ice cream to show her personal appreciation of the 6 of us being a great table! Cheers, Rafa

The food was excellent. Steak perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese that was actually cheesy! The bread was heaven and I could eat 4 rolls myself. Will return asap.

My husband & I absolutely love Oak Steakhouse. Every time we dine here we have a great time. It was our 3rd wedding anniversary last night & they went above & beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience like always. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great & the service was perfect! Can't wait to go back!
