This small cafe with Argentinian food is a simply fantastic. The whole menu is delightful, but I'd recommend the beef empanadas and plantains! The menu isn't the cheapest, but the food is worth it in my opinion! Check it out.

This is a prime example of don't judge a book by its cover. You can't go wrong here. First time and will not be the last. Not sure which was better the food or the service.

Great experience. Delicious foods, both Cuban and Argentine cuisine. And excellent service. Another plus, there is restaurant parking available on site (but limited spaces).

Oh boy... A Cuban Argentinean Restaurant in the heart of Raleigh. Great location, Great customer service, great tasting food and very clean at a moderate price. The food is cooked on the spot. Good for the whole family. I strongly suggest. ??????

Oakwood Cafe is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Raleigh. This family-run business offers fabulous Argentinean and Cuban dishes. I often crave the Napoletana, a pork or beef cutlet layered with with tomato sauce, ham and cheese. The Argentinean style beef short ribs with chimichurri are so, so flavorful. You can't go wrong with their Cuban sandwich, make sure to try the housemade hot sauce and order a jar to take home. Bonus, visit on a Saturday morning for an awesome breakfast with delicious pancakes.

Smaller place, just a short walk from the Capitol, but worth every step. It wasn’t very busy on a Monday at noon, but I have no idea why. Nice atmosphere, friendly server, and the food turned out to be excellent. I ordered the Milanesa a Caballo sandwich with fried yuca, and it was absolutely wonderful. The homemade hot sauce was also fantastic, and I used about half of what was provided. My sandwich was hot and clearly freshly made. Steak was very thin, very tender, and flavorful. Good-sized portion for about $10, too! Yuca was crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside. My only disappointment was that the bun was pretty generic and nothing special. Otherwise this was a great meal and I’d eat here again without hesitation.

One of the best dining jewels in Raleigh and they have, bar none, the best steak lunch plate in the area. Go... you will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful experience at this cozy, family restaurant with delicious food. We arrived at the start of a snow storm and they were closing but stayed open for us. The churrasco was delicious and authentic and the kids enjoyed a cheeseburger. Service was great and the owner was very gracious with his time and conversation. To top it off, the tres leches, churros, and cafe Cubano were delicious. As a native of Miami and son of Cuban exiles, I felt like I was home!

I wish I could give this place a better review but I just can't because of my Valentine's Day experience. To start off we made a reservation because of how small the restaurant was and that was great. We get there and they have our name on our table and they also had the cutest Valentine's Day decor with flowers, balloons, and little candles on the table. The food comes out which is super good, I loved everything. We are eating and people are starting to leave, there is still 35 minutes until the restaurant closes and there is also another couple at the restaurant trying to having a romantic and quiet Valentine's dinner. That was the whole point of going to a small restaurant was to have a romantic dinner. Ok so the reason I have 1 star is because the employees get mad about something, probably something d*** and the woman who works there starts crying and getting so angry at her coworkers. She starts yelling and cussing and being so rude!!! I mean she is using vulgar words and something I would never do in front of customers. I could not believe what was going on, the other couple and my partner and I are seriously looking at each other like is this really happening right now????? The restaurant is tiny, you probably have to speak a little quieter than your regular tone so people don't hear you and these people were yelling!!!! It was the worst experience especially on a Valentine's dinner date and especially since it was $95 for 2 people!!!! $95 at a fancy restaurant once in a while is completely understand but not if we have to deal with some immature people like that. The other couple and us just asked for boxes and got out as fast as we could. I wish this would not have happened as I am from Argentina and this is the closet restaurant to me, well we still had to drive an entire hour but I will no longer be going there. So freaking rude and so immature

We went there last night, the heater was broken and they had a portable heater that I think was just a waste of energy because it didn’t do anything i was literally frozen!! The server was running around like a chicken with the head cut off, he was just ok, we had to get up couple times to remind him what we asked for you can tell that is a boy trying to do a job that he has not experience at all, he just need to learn how to serve in a restaurant. Food was so so, as a Hispanic I’ve tried parrillada so many times and I can tell this was not the best, my husband’s is way better. Quantity of food it’s ok but I think it was a bit overpriced. This is not a place that I would come back.
