Best barbecue we have ever had ! We will definitely be returning to here again. Everything was so tasty and flavorful ! The barbecue chicken was fall off the bone , the okra was fried to perfection, the potato salad was delicious too and the pulled pork was awesome with their house made sauces! Our waitress was soo nice too, was so welcoming and we really appreciated it because our family has been going through a tough time. It warmed all of our hearts and bellies. Thank you for the great barbecue experience!
Well this was a blast from the past! My husband and I haven't eaten at Ole Time since we were dating or newly married. It's always nice to get some down home cooking and you can't beat Ole Time...well, Holt's Lake BBQ was my favorite EVER, but they closed...so... BBQ, hush puppies, green beans with fat back, the works! Yum! A trip down memory lane.
This place is true, classic NC BBQ. I LOVE IT! I like to get the combo plate with pork barbecue and fried chicken. They also have Cheerwine from the fountain. I’ve come here many times, and every time is on point. Oh, and the hush puppies!!
Great little place, terrific pulled pork and BBQ chicken. Old fashioned atmosphere. Genuine.
Great local southern bbq. Old time feel for sure! Had chopped bbq and collards and will return to try the fried chicken because every bit was eaten up at our table.
Excellent pulled pork and the fried chicken is some of the best around. Everything I had was exceptional
Born n raised, felt at home with it all. Thank you Ladies and Sir. Mother enjoyed the leftovers 😋 I did forget to get pudding. Means I'll be back.
Everything was good
My favorite BBQ joint nearby, beats all the other ones. It's got that good old style taste and you can't beat the price and service. Lovely little spot!

As a NC native, this is my absolute favorite place for barbecue and hush puppies! Highly recommend for anyone who likes vinegar-based barbecue.

Absolute perfection! The staff was SO NICE and this is the kind of hometown atmosphere you want from North Carolina. We had a little bit of everything, but the Barbecue Sandwich with Slaw was an A+ and I loved the collard greens. My wife was a huge fan of the mashed potatoes and gravy as well! We will be back many, many times.
Very good old quaint BBQ place ! These amazing sweet hush puppies come with your meal ahead of time. Service is great and it’s a nice old timey feel inside. Gets busy and not a lot of seats so come before or after peak times if possible.
One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Raleigh.
You bet the food will be pretty good when most of the staff is well-proportioned. Not my favorite style of ribs nor my favorite tasting BBQ; these ribs were not very smoky and very little crust. The rub is very mild. Side sauces to dip ribs & chicken, or to pour over the chopped pork were excellent. Sauces had great flavor- both vinegar and hot/spicy sauces. Sides were ok, none stood out. Potato salad was good, just needed a little mustard, and a little more dill pickle. Green beans were good, but way overcooked - maybe that is a style choice. Cabbage was good, and better with a little sauce to add flavor. Not fair to judge the fried okra because they always get a little soggy riding home in the care. Need to check out other bbq joints to do a comparison. Nice thing about NC is we have sooo many different choices. For ribs, I definitely prefer Red, Hot & Blue
Good food & great staff
