My girlfriend and were traveling from alaska to NC so I could show her my hometown. She was blown away by how nice the atmosphere and quality of service was. Cory knocked it out of the park with his service and catering to our needs. He suggested amazing cocktails. We split the cauliflower, fish tacos, lamb chops, and creme brulee. Cory was personable, friendly, and funny. Definitely the kind of watier you want on a date night. My girlfriend even mentioned they would be best friends if she just met him outside of a work environment.

10/10 would recommend.

Thank you for making a date night special for someone who has never visited raleigh!

We truly enjoyed ourselves. Came to celebrate my friends and my birthday, we were a table of 8 doing the chef tasting. What a experience that I hope everyone sits down and takes the time to enjoy. They really made my birthday special and trying to convince my hubby that this fine dining experience should be a date night regular šŸ¤£šŸ™šŸ¾I didn't get pictures of my favorite dishes because duh..it was so good we ate it rapidly which was the charred Ceaser Salad, Korean Cauliflower, and the Mahi roll but literally everything I ate was at least a 9/10 even the dishes I didn't like and I'm a very tough food critic because I LOVE food and have tasted many delicious dishes globally. This place I will regularly go back to, and the service, ambiance, and location makes it a perfect 10 to me. I really enjoyed the mocktails as well given that they actually took the time to make me specifically something and I do not drink and most restaurants just give ma a Shirley Temple I was very impressed that they took the time to make something cute and alcohol free for me. That really made me feel special🄰 The decor in the restaurant was very nice too.

We had Corey, after reading rebiews about him, I.was happy he was our waiter.

I had been wanting to go for several years. My husband took me for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Food was amazing!!!. We ordered the Brussels sprouts (not spicy even tjough it says chilli), the beef wellington (2 pieces with that) and the pistachio crusted lamb. That was plenty for my hubs and I, though im on a peptide the suppressed my appetite. For dessert we had the banana bread pudding. Yummmm!

I forgot to take a photo of the wellington.

I hosted a pay your own way dinner with friends here for 15 people, and we experienced the Family Style Tasting Menu. Spectacular from beginning to end! I lost count but can say there were around 15 delicious and perfectly presented tasting dishes. We packed up all the leftovers which probably fed half the table the following day. Our waiter, Corey was fantastic - service was fast and efficient with a dose of comedy. The kitchen staff was amazing and incredibly friendly. So pleased to have found this place! Cocktail presentation - wow!

Special evening! Server Corey was an excellent guide to a creative tapas menu. Tempura cauliflower was exquisite, soba noodles earthy and delicious, salmon perfect. Oro is Raleigh’s hidden gem.

We chose the restaurant as it had good ratings and looked quite high-end from outside. Unfortunately the food was really not as promised. Grilled obviously doesn’t mean grilled and similar issues. It sounded very good on the menu but turned out to be the opposite. Very disappointing.
To end with something positive: the waiter was super friendly, service- oriented and accommodating!

We chose Oro for our Wedding Anniversary and we chose right! From the top, we were greeted by the lovely staff and Corey came and helped us decide on drinks to get the night started. The drinks are the best in town!!! No skimping here! The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!! No matter what the occasion, this place should be on the top of your list. This is officially my favorite restaurant in Raleigh! P.S. if you’re a fan of the Old fashioned…ask for it Corey’s way!!! THE ORIGINAL SMOKE BOX!!!!!!!!

Arrived here with no reservation and staff politely seeted us and were very attentive. Ordered the pork skewers and the Mac and cheese, Mac and cheese tasted like heavy cream with no cheese flavor and with soggy panko crumbs and the pork was cold with little to no flavor. Flavorless food with above average service. Also pricey for such little amounts of flavorless food. Don’t come here spend less money on food that taste good elsewhere in the city.

Oro is an absolute gem in downtown Raleigh! From the moment you walk in, the modern yet inviting atmosphere sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The menu is creative and perfect for sharing – every dish we tried was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The crispy Brussels sprouts and the paella were standouts, and the cocktails were just as impressive. What really sets Oro apart is the service – attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. If you’re looking for a place that combines innovative cuisine with top-notch hospitality, Oro is a must-visit.

Food was lukewarm warm and the fish in the fish tacos didn’t taste fresh. I dont like sort of warm food. The jerk chicken tasted like chicken with jerk seasoning spread on not authentic jerk chicken. Further the middle of the chicken was red=raw. Highlights of the evening were the caramel chocolate desert and the stellar service and atmosphere. I cannot say I would visit again unless I am invited to a special occasion dinner.
