Huge variety of treats to choose from! Festive and fun decor and clean too!
The place and ice cream looks great but no prices means no bueno for me. I'll guess they will charge what they want when they want. I never patronize a place that does not show prices. Too bad lokks like a great place otherwise.
When I ordered a strawberry cheesecake milkshake I had something else in mind but I was not disappointed 🤣 this was really good. The staff is friendly and outside is great if you have kids! Great place to take a sip and a break.
Absolutely amazing ice cream shop.
La Michoacana is a unique Mexican ice cream shoppe in the Midtown area of North Raleigh. It's tucked away on St Albans inside of an unassuming strip mall that features Latin eateries and bakeries. You can't miss the yard with all of the unique animals, Mexican flags, and ice cream decor. I was craving a refreshing ice cream after perusing the State Farmers Market. I wanted Latin style shaved ice. Upon arrival I took my time to peruse the menu and was greeted. I decided on the #24 Raspanieve. Raspanieve is a Mexican dessert consisting of shaved ice, flavored syrup, and sometimes fresh fruit and ice cream. Its very rich and dense and refreshingly cold for a hot day. The young lady at the counter was very beautiful and offered excellent customer service. She smiled and was kind enough to share with me all of the flavors. You must choose 1 flavor for the shaved ice and 1 flavor for the ice cream. I spent some time in the adorable yard that features a cute playground, and lots of outdoor seating. Once prepared I received a humongous cup of shaved ice topped with coconut ice cream. My family is from Jamaica, so coconut ice cream is a favorite of mine. This ice cream was some of the best I've had in a while. Huge coconut shavings ! The mango flavored shaved ice was so crunchy and cold ! This combination with the condensed milk is paradise in a cup. You can share this because it's so much for the value ! For the Quality and large portions you receive here, the price is just right ! I ordered a small which is actually a large for $9.73. It's not cheap but nothing worth having is in life. Pura Vida !
Excellent family atmosphere for a fun dessert with GREAT customer service. This is a don’t miss experience!
Lot of variety and options to choose..Place to visit with kids but make sure to pack with lot cleaning supplies to clean the area if you have small kids. All nieve based more of a fruit and refreshing. Kids like the play with animal’s structure . But it’s full of dirt and hopefully they clean the play area once in a while..
Very nice place when you walk in there is a fountain and nice decorations, ice cream is delicious just be mindful I got the churro banana split and it was huge and expensive if you get it make sure to eat it with a buddy…😂 the milkshake is 10 dollars also a little expensive than other places but it was good.
Nice refreshing ice snow dishes
So many flavors and options! I will have to come back to try more! You can get just regular scoops of ice cream or pick from the vast selection of special items. There is a large outdoor area that would be so nice on a warm day.

Basically it says on the open sign it says 12:30 to 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we arrived at 12:40 and there was no one, almost everything was closed, the only thing that was open was the place where you can send money to other countries, there they told me that sometimes they arrive late, we waited at 1:15 and almost the same thing everything closed and everything turned off, the truth is we don't expect more from that place

The atmosphere is what makes this place stand out and was what caught my attention however all fluff with no sustenance. Definitely a business dependent on show than quality which other reviews have pointed out. Fresas con crema was mid.

I don't normally write reviews, but this is the first time I actually felt bad after getting ice cream. I found this place online and decided to go based off pictures and good reviews.
Atmosphere: Colorful and lively, clearly catered to kids as there was a playground outside.
Price: I ordered the 4. Mazapanazo, small size (16 oz cup). The total came out to $12.98. I was appalled.
There were no prices next to the menu items. No signs disclosing the price within the cashier area either.
admit I could have asked for the price ahead of time before ordering or just canceled my order at that moment, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and try their product.
Furthermore, my change was $7.02, and the cashier (young male in late teens or early twenties) only gave $7.00. I did not say anything only because it was a miniscule amount and I would've put it in the tip jar anyway, (although I realize I should've said something as a learning moment) HOWEVER, it is the cashier's due diligence to always give the correct change.
Food: The ice cream itself was okay, a 4/10. It certainly did not justify the $12.98 l paid. Although nice aesthetically, I didn't appreciate the wrapped candy directly in my ice cream. I wouldn't deem it sanitary.
Cleanliness: The napkins I grabbed near the register were dirty, they appeared to have been used.
Overall, I would not return here again. Even if the portions were bigger or the prices more reasonable, my first experience here will make it my last. If the business sees this review, I hope they will take the necessary steps to better their products and services. All the best.
