Was forced to wait nearly 10 minutes for a completed pickup order, while staff gossiped and management was preoccupied begging the singular other person in the store for a 5 star google review.

I really love how nice and considerate the kind employees are at this location! The food is always just as expected as well. I just wish it were closer to Cary! :-)

Pei Wei seems to have many of the challenges that most restaurants have post-covid; they dont have enough staff (they had one cashier who also handled the food serving duties), and 1 cook, and someone who appeared to be a shift Manager. They were all friendly enough, but they were struggling to keep up. There were only a handful of customers in the dining room, but they must do a lot of take-out orders because they were cooking a lot. It took much longer than expected to get our entrees, and then they forgot to give us our wonton (I had to go up and ask them for them, which they did quickly make and deliver). The kitchen is open to the restaurant, which results in the dining area being loud. To cover the sounds of the kitchen they have music playing but they have to turn it up really loud.

My online delivery order was initially missing part of the order when it was dropped off. I called to speak with the manager and she went out of her way to personally deliver it to my house and even threw in an extra item. They were very kind and were eager to make it right.

This place has gone downhill. They deliberately understaff the location. They used to have 4 cooks during peak hours. Now there is only one. Online orders are now ready 15 minutes *after* the promised time. The place seems empty at lunch, too, which is a reflection on the customer experience. I don't think they'll be around much longer.

They lie about what time your order will be done. The receipt said it was done by 2:45… Ot wasn’t done until 3:06. I waited for at least 1 hour for two basic meals…..

Love this spot! Always quick and fast. Firecracker shrimp is actually spicy and one of my favorites on the menu. Yum!
