That chicken sandwich is definitely worth it but Ima tell u right now if you want your food to taste good fresh and hot go the one on Newbern Ave yes its in the hood but they always make my food fresh do not go to the one on Capital Blvd my food is always nasty when I go there I will not be going to that one anymore I gave them enough chances but anywho the wingettes are delicious the red beans and rice are my favorite and the newbern ave one has 4 biscuits for $2.50

Best Popeyes in North Carolina. Very good and consistent food. Their shrimp is the best! The staff is very polite.

The food was amazingly delicious! We always love the foods we've gotten from Popeye's, and today was another satisfying example. Everything was fresh and the chicken was good and crispy, and it really hit the spot!

It was around 7pm and they didn't have much chicken up, and I asked how much longer before it be ready, and they said 15mins, but when it was ready my chicken tasted like it should have been cooked longer, hard crispy on the outside and greasy not done inside. I'm convinced that these fast food chicken places in NC should get better cooks or managers who want to represent their establishment name and the commercial that made me want to go there. The cashier said that if I didn't want to wait, bojangles was down the street. Even after waiting for fresh cooked food, it was horrible. I will not be back.

The food is hit or miss, it depends on who's working. Service needs a lot of work, no greeting and they look like you be bothering them when ordering 😑 the atmosphere gives anxiety
