Purr Cup Café in downtown Raleigh is absolutely adorable! It’s such a cute café with a wonderful selection of drinks that are very affordable. The best part is getting to spend time with the sweetest little kitties—it’s such a fun and heartwarming experience. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and it’s definitely better to make a reservation ahead of time since it fills up quickly. Highly recommend this spot for cat lovers and anyone looking for a unique café experience in Raleigh! 🐾☕💛

The Purr Cup Cafe is one of the most meaningful spots I’ve discovered, and honestly, one of the most special places in Raleigh.
This fully vegan cat café is part coffee shop, part rescue, and part community space, and it does all three beautifully. The mission is simple and powerful: drink coffee, save cats. Every visit directly supports local rescue kitties while they wait to find their forever homes, and you can truly feel that purpose the moment you walk in.
The space itself is calm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed for both people and cats. The cats are clearly loved, well cared for, and given room to relax and be themselves. Spending time there feels grounding and joyful, especially knowing your presence is making a real difference, whether or not adoption is your goal.
We loved the coffee AND the experience. Could not recommend visiting this spot more!

I stopped by for a coffee to support this wonderful local business and didn’t reserve time with the cats on this visit, but I still had a great experience. Just a heads up that this is a vegan café, so you won’t find cow’s milk here, but they offer plenty of delicious dairy free options instead.
The space is very cute and cozy, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though I didn’t interact with the kitties this time, they looked very well cared for, happy, safe, and clearly loved.

Lovely customer service. They had a bathroom which was convenient. Yummy drinks, pink matcha, and they have dairy free whip cream. And of course the cats were cats doing cat things. 💖 It was a great price for the experience.
Love coming to visit Purr Cup! This NOT a “tourist trap”, this is a sanctuary with coffee & home made goodies! I love knowing the fee that I pay to visit with the kitties is going to help them as well as other future transient cat residents. Amazing staff, outstanding events, delicious beverages! Grateful to have a place like Purr Cup to patron that helps our community.

Always so happy to visit this gem. They are so reasonably priced for their drinks and always have delicious specials. Seeing the cats is such a great bonus and I love the work they have done for their local community over the years. They carry great little stickers, mugs, coasters, etc. and I'm always excited to see what they have in stock. I always make a point to stop by when I'm in the area and they are absolutely worth checking out.

Been here two times and each time I’ve left feeling so much more joyful after spending time with the cats! One of the times, the cats slept most of the time and I was still so happy because even just being in their space made me feel better after I was came in having a rough day. I had such a positive experience that it moved me to get involved with SPCA (the shelter they partner with) and foster cats :)
