We just left there with a to-go order, and without even trying the food yet, I'm irritated. Your staff member running the register was so rude and did not even listen to us. She asked us the same question THREE times, and we kept telling her our orders were together. She ignored our responses and rang them up separately. She acted like she was completely annoyed that I wanted BBQ sauce with my barbecue. She kept asking us about drinks and desserts . . . how many times do we have to say NO? Back to City BBQ next time; they seem happy to serve us.
I wish you had a location closer to us. Great food and friendly people.
So happy this place opened. Wonderful Burnt Tips especially.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff/management team.
Easy 5 stars all day. Can’t wait to go back!
Great place, friendly people and awesome food come and join the red hot and blue
I'm not going to kid you .. This is getting graded on the 5 star scale of the old RHB in Raleighwood. If you are expecting anything close to that experience and quality either don't go or read on.
First off the menu is reduced so no Brunswick stew or collard greens. There are others in sure. Big loss.
Thank God the potato salad is still there but nowhere near as good as it was... Virtually no eggs. The green beans could be good but they are insanely over seasoned and sweet. The smoked sausage is still the star and it's excellent. The pulled pork might be better than before. Pulled chicken might be worse but still good.
Now here's the problem... The service sucks. And RHB don't reply how it's early and you are working the kinks out because I don't remember the We Are Practicing Discount. I went through the Drive thru 4 times after ordering online. First time went well I thought until I got home and was missing all the sauces for the 2 pounds of meat I ordered. Second time I was the only one in line in the drive thru but after 10 minutes I had to go inside and ask for my food because nobody told the counter I ordered online and was waiting outside. Third online order I kept it simple and my Triple order for there in five. Last time was a joke. Only person in line. Girl managed to get off her phone long enough to say pull around and I'll let them know you are here. 15 minutes later I had to ask the person who was bringing food to the people behind me what was up. She admitted that no one ever let them counter know the I was there as my food just sat there and my time got wasted. Four trips, $200 worth of food and $10 worth of service. Failure.
All of the ambiance and atmosphere is gone so all that is left is the quality of the food and service. So far it's not up to par and compared to the sign hanging on the gas station it occupies it's nothing like you remember. I'm not giving up just yet but so far I can't recommend it despite what I consider somewhat reasonable prices. Fingers crossed they improve.
Great brisket and hush puppies!
The food at Red Hot & Blue was great !
The Memphis Pit Chicken was tender & juicy, the baked beans, potato salad, fries and hush puppies were all delicious !
We will definitely be back soon !
Awesome, have been a Jim Groot fan for years and his BBQ. Great new location!! Great food and Q!!
Please add okra to the menu! Everything was great!!
Have been waiting for them to come back to Raleigh ever since the first location closed! Food and Customer service still a 10/10!

Truely tasty 😋
Looks and feels like an authentic bbq spot. Decided to come here for dinner after I landed in Raleigh. Since I am on a carnivore diet, I only got the brisket n ribs. They responded to all my questions and were very helpful. $20 for a lb of brisket n &10 for 1/4 rack is not bad.
Will be back again as this is the only spot (out of 6 I checked) that doesn’t put sugar in their brisket rub.
Very good food, reasonable prices. And friendly service
Best brisket in North Carolina! Staff were super friendly and it is great to have RHB back in Raleigh!
So glad to have Red Hot and Blue opened in our area again. Got Tennessee Trio of brisket, pulled pork and chicken. It was excellent. Was a wee bit disappointed that they didn't have the smoked turkey or collards today, but I'll definitely be back!
