The food was very flavorful! We ordered steak. Tried the Mufango...yum! The arroz con gandules was pretty tasty too (appreciated that it wasn't too salty. Our server, Carles, was very polite. Food came out quickly.

went there with my husband yesterday and our waitress Carlee was amazing! She kept our sons peanut allergies in mind and helped us get food he can eat safely. Food was amazing. Most definitely will be back

The food was not delicious, the paisa tray was not fresh, I didn't like the ceviche, few shrimp and lots of paprika, artificial bananas, not natural, long wait.

Delicious flavor

Had always wanted to try this place but never did. Service was great, no complaints there, but as many others have said the food was lukewarm at best. My wife's arroz con pollo didn't look all that appetizing and was quite bland tasting, despite the waiter claiming it was "the most popular item" on the menu. They also chopped up the bones with the chicken, which was under the rice, so every bite you took you never knew if there would be bones in it or not. She spit out about half of her bites because of this. Mine wasn't much better. $60 for 2 people was more than the food was worth. Will not be going back.

Celebrating our ninth anniversary and the food was perfect and service was excellent, warm and cozy, beautiful atmosphere the music was tasteful and volume perfect WE ARE COMING BACK!! Carlee was our waitress nice as can be and completely took care of us!!

Liquor License was expired. This has happened before, not acceptable for a restaurant in such a busy area. I ordered a Medium RARE Churrasco steak and received a 3/4 done steak. The steak knife wasn't even sharp or maybe that's how tough the meat was. Rice was old and dry and so was the mofongo. You will have a better experience at Cheese Cake Factory right next to this restaurant. To top it all off, they charged everything onto 1 ticket and weren't able to seperate our individual items. Our party was of 9. I understand if it was a party of 15 or more but COMPLETELY unnaceptable. Manager wasn't even truly sorry about it. We offered many solutions and she didnt even try a single one just kept saying no. It was so they could charge us gratuity.NEVER AGAIN.

We had been excited to try the Red Monkey. My husband is Puerto Rican and we had been looking for a good restaurant. Unfortunately this place fell super short. The bar was closed down for some reason?? The bathroom was dirty, my husband’s beans lacked flavor, but not super bad. But as for my meal my carne frita (fried pork) was RAW! Like straight cold and pink!!!! I couldn’t believe it! They took it off the bill, no one even came to talk to us about it. Typically a manager would come and apologize or something… the place just seams l Iike it’s dirty and not well managed. Very disappointing!

Very nice service. The food is a good portion. Fun experience! I recommend trying this place out.

Do not go to this restaurant unless you like slow service and disgusting food.

Good food

No need to share the good, was not much of it.
Ordered an entree that came out cold, as did the sides. Paid for my appetizer, tipped waiter and one and done. To add insult to injury, could not order adult beverages, bar was closed…huh… Out of sweet tea, creamer for coffee… management completely dropping the ball at this establishment.

It was closed when we got there. Actually, it looked shut down. We ended up at Cheesecake Factory.

The service was terrible. It took the waitress so long to come and take our drink order and when she finally brought our drinks…they were sodas in a can along with a glass of ice. She finally took our food order after waiting for another 20 mins or so. Took so long for our food to come that our ice melted and we had to ask for more ice. Another waiter put more ice over the melted ice. Our actual waitress kept getting missing. It took about 45 mins for our food but we had to ask someone else because our waitress wasn’t around for us to ask for our food. The place is overpriced for the food and the experience.
