We visited to celebrate our anniversary and the food was just okay! Nothing spectacular or anything to write home about. I've been before and knew not to expect much but my husband had never been and wanted to celebrate here. Our waitress took the time to over explain the a'la cart menu. Maybe she assumed we had never been to this type of establishment before.......😊 We just smiled. The gumbo was not what my husband was expecting. Definitely not how his family cooks it. It tasted more like a Campbell's soup. While he enjoyed his Spicy Salmon, my filet ordered medium well was overcooked. The garlic mashed potatoes reminded me of Idaho spuds. The BEST part of our meal was the bread for certain. The carrot cake and ice cream was good for a refrigerated cake and a few layered flavors. The service was very slow for a Tuesday night and half empty restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the dining experience/ambiance was great for the occasion.
Our table was rushed to clean and my daughter's retainers were thrown away. I felt as if no one cared I was given a card to call and follow up, and sent home. I feel that the situation should have been handled differently.
Server seemed to be in a hurry. Took my drink before I was done with it other than that great
Ruth's Chris was actually my last choice because it was open before other steakhouses in the area. Two of us dined there and my guest received very attentive service. Her salad was served several minutes before mine — in fact, I had to ask if I was going to get my salad because my guest had finished her salad before mine was delivered. When the bartender took our drink orders (at the same time) she receives her drink right away. Again, about 15 minutes in, I had to ask the manager if I was going to get the drink I ordered. The ribeye was tough — just not a good cut of meat — and it was much thinner than expected and just didn't have any flavor. I seriously doubt that I will return. There are too many other steakhouses where the service and the food far surpass what I experienced.
Not worth the money spent. Had a reservation and still waited 15 minutes to be sat down. Got seated in the far back corner of the restaurant next to the server stand even though there were tables in the main seating area. Everything took a long time to get to the table. Waited close to an hour for two steaks that came out undercooked. My Mid-rare ribeye came out raw first, and then Medium well after it went back. Looked like the kitchen smashed it down on the grill and was extremely tough to eat. Service was just OK. Our server was distracted by a large party table which made us seem like an afterthought. We were also celebrating but no one at Ruth Chris seemed to care or check in on us. I don't recommend Ruth Chris to anyone. Not in North Hills, Raleigh or anywhere else. We had a similar experience at the location in Asheville a few years ago.
It was my birthday it was 10 of us and my server was Molly. Molly was friendly, patient, attentive and the service was outstanding and the food, atmosphere was amazing. I would definitely go again and I will definitely be asking for Molly to be my server and I have to thank her for doing such an awesome job!!
This was our first visit at this location. We were kindly greeted by the hostess and taken to a lovely table. Our server, Matthew was phenomenal! He helped make our dining experience exceptional. Our food was wonderful.
It was my wife's 70th Birthday and she felt special. We had a wonderful time , food was fantastic
This is the very best place! It is pricey but serves above average quality food, so the prices are expected
A wonderful booth experience at North Raleigh. The service was remarkable and the ambiance delightful!

The steak was one of the best I've ever tasted. The sides were delicious. The sinfully chocolate cake was so good that words do not do it justice.
Our waiter and bartender were very nice and attentive. Lots of things to fix at this site. Very slow service, my filet and lobster in the Mac and lobster was overcooked. Staff seemed overtaxed. Extremely loud in dining area. Not my typical Ruth's Chris experience.
Took my fiancé yesterday for her birthday and I as a nice first experience for her. She really loved the ambiance, the friendly staff and the food came out HOT! Well worth the money, we plan to return soon, thank you again
Food was delish. I am accustomed to a more attentive server while dining there, especially since it was not busy for lunch. It was a beautiful day on the patio sipping a great old fashioned.
Absolutely lovely experience at the Caymus Tastemakers dinner—elegant surroundings, top-notch wines and delicious foods, unequaled attention from the waitstaff.
