I recently stayed again at the Marriott in Raleigh, which is conveniently connected to The Rye Bar & Southern Kitchen. On my previous visit a few months ago, I was curious about the restaurant but didn’t give it a try. This time around, I finally did—and I’m so glad I did!
The food was outstanding. On my first night, I had the baby back ribs, mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese, in particular, was so good that I had to order it again the next night. On that second visit, I tried the burger with fries and another side of mac and cheese—again, absolutely delicious.
I also had breakfast there, opting for the strawberry-stuffed French toast with sage sausage. The French toast was delightful—rich, sweet, and satisfying. The strawberry filling was very fresh, which might not be to everyone’s taste (it was a bit too fresh for me), but still definitely edible and enjoyable overall.
Highly recommend giving The Rye a try whether you're staying at the Marriott or just in the area. Solid food, great atmosphere, and worth coming back for!
Tried to get food with my teens after a concert. Rude drunk customers ran us out. Went upstairs hungry. Not staying again. Horrible experience :/
I got the Southern fried chicken with mac and cheese, collard greens and cornbread. TALK ABOUT GOOD EATS!
Absolutely amazing service and food! Every employee was friendly, helpful, and just a pleasure to interact with. The food and atmosphere were perfect. I would definitely recommend this place!
Decent bar food. Wings are a bit too smoky for me but not bad if you like that flavor. The buffalo chicken dip is a must. Overall food is not bad. Some of the drinks are overpriced but not the basic ones. Can be pleasant in noise level or very loud depending on who's there. Bartenders are pleasant and service is solid.

This restaurant is located in the Marriot hotel lobby. Overall the food was good, I had both breakfast and dinner here during my stay. Breakfast was Buffett style and pretty basic. The dinner was very good, it is a small menu with comfort foods, but everything was prepared well and tasted good.

Stopped in for a bite after the Caribbean Carnival. They accommodated my request to make the shrimp and grits without the sausage. It was really good.

In 2023 we came here everyday during Galaxycon to eat! It was good food and service. We decided during this years Galaxycon we would do the same thing. BAD IDEA!! We went in on Friday and were seated, it took a little while for the server to take our order and get our drinks. We got our food about 30 minutes later, but that’s okay not that big a deal.we only got one refill on our tea and she only checked on us once after the food came out. We finally got the bill and we paid. I even left her a 18%tip. Fast forward to Saturday. They were not that busy, we got a table rather quickly. I am a klutz and I knocked the table over. The person who sat us at the table said she would get us new silverware, we never saw her again.we sat there for 45 minutes and nobody ever came to take our order. People who came in after us were greeted by the wait staff and got drinks. They even had to walk past us to give them the drinks. Nobody ever said one word to us after we sat down. There was a gentleman who got his table literally 2 minutes before us and he ordered got his food, ate it, paid for it and left and we still had nobody come a take our order! No drinks no food nothing!!! Another table that was there right after us, had gotten drinks but never had there order taken, they got up and left too! I mean what the Hell! The wait staff saw us and they just freaking chose to ignore us. I will never eat there again. There was no excuse for there actions. I hope the manager sees this cause we were planning on eating there at least two or 3 more times over the weekend into early the next week. When we do go back to Galaxycon next year I will be damned if I even set foot near this restaurant!!!

Poor quality meat was served. BBQ Ribs were grisly not meaty. Hostess was exceptionally personable. Wait Staff was so-so.
