Salt & Lime Cabo Grill

My server name was Wendy, well; at least that's what the receipt states. Our server never gave us her name. The food was mid at best. American Mexican not authentic Mexican and thats what I was looking for. I ordered the carnita tacos, the server did help me with options but they were not good. I ate one, the flavor wasn't there for me. I saw everyone else table being served chips and salsa and I had to ask. I didn't like that. Have you ever been somewhere and you felt like you were being tolerated. That was my experience tonight. I was there with my family and they stated that there food wasn't the best nor the service.

I won't eat there again. I got food poisoning there yesterday, and yes I know what food poisoning is, I'm a retired chef. I ordered chicken quesadilla and it didn't look right at all, huge chunks of chicken. Nothing like a quesadilla I've ever eaten. And the main reason I'm doing this review is because they never responded to my message I sent yesterday. The problem was likely outdated ingredients.

Really tasty - lots of good menu items from tacos to burgers to everything in between. Innovative margarita flavors (like blood orange)!

I usually love love this place the food is usually really good but recently the service isn’t as great, I’m allergic to dairy and yesterday I went and got tacos Togo from ordering online and I put in the notes no cheese or dairy& since they usually follow directions that time I was in a rush I didn’t check and it was a dairy based sauce all over my tacos 😵‍💫 on top of that I went to the bar to pickup my order and the bartender was very snappy and said give me a second with the finger up and another white gentleman came up and said something to her about his order and she was very polite no issues and no finger putting or being snappy. So this experience left a horrible taste in my mouth and will never be going back her. If you can’t give everyone the same respect why go?

The pickup order situation is ridiculous. It's awkward having to stand by the bar and be so close to patrons eating and having to stand there while nobody asks if you need assistance.

The service stunk. My well done hamburger came out bloody and red in the middle. The waitress forgot to order a drink, then brought the wrong drink the second time. And forgot to bring an ordered beer. It would help if their wait staff would write down the orders down. It sucks to be eating dinner when the rest of your party has already finished. Not to mention there was no discount or apology from the manager for their totally screwing up our evening.

Disappointed in the food, but the atmosphere and service were great. We ordered a togo order last night (1/25) for my son's birthday. The food was ready on time, the service staff was great. I didn't wait long, but the vibe inside was very good and I was looking forward to some good food so my wife and I could go back for sit down sometime. Unfortunately, we ordered three different chicken dishes, and we were all disappointed. The flavor was good, but the chicken was very dry for all three meals. We may give it one more try, but we will try different meat. Many of our friends recommend the place, so it could be just an off night.

I really wanted to give a 1 star review as soon as I sat down due to the scowl and attitude of the hostess in jeans today when we arrived around 4 o clock. She couldn’t even greet us with a hello and there were plenty of tables available.

The waitress and other staff totally made up for it deliver 10 Star service - if I could actually rate each of them this I would.

The basil like margarita was perfection along with the pineapple salsa and queso.

The ambiance was great with the music being the perfect level and the lights being dimmed.

Kid-friendliness: They have a great variety to choose from.

Restaurant too cold. Food came out cold. Average flavors. Overall lazy approach to Mexican dining. A little overpriced. Get burned:)

Went there yesterday for my birthday dinner. Britta was our server. From the beginning every time she stopped at our table she acted like she was in a rush to walk away.

I gave benefit of the doubt.

First offense. We were never offer chips for our table.

Second and third offense was how many times they had to remake my mom’s food. She ordered shrimp and grits with no mushrooms and no green onion plus scallops.

The first time they brought it out with everything but green onions loaded with mushrooms.

The second time they brought it back out and it had just shrimp and scallops and nothing else. As if they just picked everything else off it.

Another server stopped over and retook the order and put it in for us. They finally got it right.

Fourth offense was my meal the mahi mahi was dry. When I told her she just looked at me and I said can you just bring me extra sauce.

She brought boxes for four people and never offered us a bag. We had to get on from the hostess on the way out.

Lastly, when she brought out the checks there was no acknowledgment of the fact that they got the meal wrong three times. We asked to speak with the manager at which point she took the checks and them came back and told us she comped that. After we asked. We didn’t expect to not pay but an apology would have been nice.

I will add that I have been to salt and lime several times before as my husband love this for a date night spot. Only once at this location, and the server was great! The service is usually exceptional and food is really good. So this experience may not be yours but just sharing.

Dietary restrictions: I have a lactose intolerance and was able to easily find something I can have.
