The shawarmas are ok but this time I wanted to try a cheeseburger but I deeply regretted it after the first bite. It was not well put together at all. Nothing like the posted picture outside.
We hadn’t ate here in 6 months and stopped by to get sandwiches on the way to pullen park and oh man has the place gone downhill! It used to be pretty good but it’s terrible now! We got three chicken shawarmas and the wrap was burnt and crispy. The meat inside was dry and burnt. It was awful. We had to get food at pullen park instead on top of the $40 we wasted on these sandwiches. I tried calling the manager for a refund. They said to call back after 10pm which I thought was a bit odd and if course no one answered. I tried the next day and asked for the manager and got hung up on. The inside also looks grungy. They add some junk fees on to your bill too. All around it’s a no.
MaShaAllah, best Halal restaurant and best Shawarma.
That was a good find, highly recommended and will try it again for sure!
Amazing shawarma, the hummus is fantastic. I love this place
The shawarma is not the proper shawarma. Not that good but okay.
Tables are dirty.
The atmosphere is … can be worked on.
It's okay not the best took forever on service
Food was okay. Not really any flavor and fries need more seasoning. Go to Jasmin and Olives instead

The food was absolutely delicious! The hospitality was just as incredible as the food! The staff is very thoughtful. The best shawarmas in NC! Authentic just like the Middle East! Thank you! 🇸🇾🌙🤲🏼
Awesome 👍
Food was ready fast and it was absolute the best falafel I’ve had, recommend it a ton
I rarely give reviews. But this place has got one of the best and most authentic shawarmas I’ve had in years. Truly was the best! Crispy from out but moist, creamy and has pickles & fries in it just the classic way.
A Mixed Experience
I recently ordered delivery from Shawarma Stop in Raleigh, and while my experience wasn’t entirely bad, it also didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I was excited to try their take on Mediterranean flavors, but unfortunately, some of the dishes fell a little short, while others stood out in a good way.
Let’s start with the chicken shawarma, which was the main reason for my order. I had high hopes, but sadly, the chicken was fried out and dry, lacking the juicy, tender texture that great shawarma is known for. While the seasoning had potential, the dryness really took away from the experience, making it less enjoyable than I had hoped.
Next up was the hummus, and unfortunately, it wasn’t to my liking. The consistency wasn’t as smooth and creamy as I prefer, and the flavor was a bit off from what I expected. A good hummus should have the right balance of tahini, garlic, and lemon, but this one just didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
That said, the Greek salad was fantastic! It was easily the highlight of my order. The fresh, crisp veggies, perfectly briny olives, and generous amount of feta cheese made every bite refreshing and flavorful. The dressing complemented everything beautifully, adding just the right amount of tangy zest. If I were to order again, the Greek salad would definitely be at the top of my list.
Since I had my food delivered, I can’t speak to the in-restaurant experience, but the delivery process itself was smooth and efficient. Everything arrived well-packaged and on time, which I appreciated.
Overall, Shawarma Stop has potential, but my experience was hit or miss. While the Greek salad was excellent, the chicken shawarma and hummus didn’t quite deliver the quality I was hoping for. I might give them another try in the future, but I’d likely explore other menu options next time. If you’re craving a solid Greek salad, though, they’ve got that part down perfectly!
