I’ve been here 3-4 times. Love having a game cafe in DTR. It’s a cozy spot with a decent selection of games.I would never come here hungry. They are phoning it in as far as food goes. Most stuff seems frozen and thrown in the microwave. They definitely put more effort into their cocktails, and have some beer options. Service is kind of lackluster. I get it’s winter and slow, but you just gotta greet people and make them feel welcome. They don’t really offer to help with games in my experience. Or seem excited to be there. I guess that’s the trade off for not paying to play. So, I can recommend coming here for a casual game night with some drinks. Especially if you’ve got a set group that doesn’t need help picking a game. But if you want more games, better food, or great service, you’re better off going to one of the many other options in the Triangle.

Very nice environment and wide variety of games! Me and my group of friends were visiting Raleigh and we had so much fun here playing different board games. The staff are very nice and they even have some things sold by local vendors.

Came here for a party, had the place rented out. Service was awesome, the bartender was slinging cocktails just as fast as we could drink em. They made signature cocktails for the party, had personalized graphics on the tvs for the party and everyone mingled and played games and had cake. It was a blast. I'd come here even just to do a casual living room hangout with friends with the added bonus of a bartender. If you want to play a game you don't own and get some friends together, they own it. Get em together here and have some fun.

We found this place near our hotel last night…our plans fell through last-minute, and we ended up here almost completely by accident. I’m 44 years old, and have never played Yahtzee. Not only did we get that fixed last night, but I found my new favorite place in Raleigh. The vibe is low-key, nobody is in your bubble, and the service is just perfect…I never felt like I was being pursued, but the minute we needed something, we were being taken care of. I didn’t review the food because I didn’t eat, but what I saw looked great. The boss Ciara (or Sierra) glanced at me approvingly from her comfortably curled-up position on her bed behind the bar. This is a very affordable, very welcoming place. Try to book a table ahead of time if you know you’re going, as this place doesn’t suffer from a lack of popularity. We’ll be back for sure ❤️

This place is great to meet up with friends in a judgement free area. Played my first game of Magic here with some other casual player and it was a blast. Employees are fun and helpful. I look forward to seeing them againParking: There is a parking garage across the street as well as a surface lot. Both will cost money, but reasonable.

Friendly and accommodating location to hang out, grab a snack, and play some board games. "Game of Go Club" also meets weekly here on Monday nights and welcomes beginners.

This is a really cool spot tucked away downtown. They have a massive Boardgame library to checkout and a good selection of drinks and snacks. If you're looking for a spot to hang with friends and try some games or get a D&D night in, Side Quest is an excellent place to do it!

We spent a few hours here on a couple of days during GalaxyCon weekend as we waited for our kids! Excellent selection of games to play, for a very reasonable price, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back if we are in the area.

Such a great place to get together with friends, start a board game, get distracted by side conversations, remember to do your upkeep, order amazing cheesy bread, unmask the traitor, get another tasty cocktail and then lord your board game supremacy over all your friends as you lap them on the score track. Would recommend!

It was only $5 per person to sit at a table and play games! My friends drank (I was DD so I didn’t try anything) and said they loved their cocktails. The game selection was vast and well organized.
