Really.. !! So I called to place an order that was over $70.00. The girl answering the phone needs to be trained on proper communication and customer service!Told me when I placed the order “you can come in to order”!! I MEAN REALLY.!I know that, why doesn’t she!!

UPDATE, Mgt reached out to make things right. I think they went above and beyond and very quickly. Definitely deserve my continual patronage.Hadn't been here in awhile and decided to grab a bite. Mgr had to tell cashier to take my order. I decided on the barbecue sandwich and hushpuppies. The hushpuppies get 5. They were good, hot and fresh. The sandwich was not good. The meat was super bland, compared to what I remember in the past and tasted old. I took half the meat off and drenched it in the rib sauce. The bun was already soggy. Didn't have time to turn around and take it back so just threw it away. I should have just gotten the chicken.

Dark meat chicken was spoiled. There was no soap in either dispenser of the hand wash station. It was difficult finding a table that had been wiped down.

I paid $26 for a shrimp and chicken plate with slaw and stew. All I got was two forkfuls of shrimp and 4 hushpuppies! No chicken, no sides! I'd have left ZERO stars if it were possible! Never again! And I can't even post a picture of this horrendous meal! Shame on you and your staff!!!!

This Smithfield is trash!! Please go to the one on Jones sausage road or on hwy 42 everytime I come to this one my order is wrong or just flat out nasty! Tonight I went to this one again against my wishes only because it was the closest one to me. The chicken I received had a nasty smoky taste too it as if it was cooked in old burned Grease. Also the potatoes salad they gave me was basically mush and I had one extremely large potatoe in it and the baked beans tasted as though they were straight out the can no barbecue or anything in it! And don't get me started on the most disgusting banana pudding i have ever had!! The whole meal was completely inedible!! I promise you this is the last time I am eating at this place

We stopped at Smithfield’s on the way to the beach. It was really good. We were really hungry and just bought a plate to split, I guess our stomachs shrank. We got the BBQ plate with cole slaw, hush puppies and fries and a sweet tea. I didn’t have to wait in line for too long. They took my order quickly and the food came out quick as well. The BBQ is so good. The sweet tea was perfectly sweet. We ate our plate and were able to get right on the road. They had high chairs and they even had a sink outside of the bathroom, I liked that I didn’t have to go into the bathroom to wash my hands. The tables were all clean. They also have a drive thru. We’ve stopped at Smithfield’s a few times on the way to the beach. We will be back.

Been going here since they opened as I used to live right beside Lake Wheeler. Hate to say this but the last few times going here the Brunswick Stew taste off. I don't know if they changed their recipe but something isn't right about it. Please fix this. I'd greatly appreciate it. I mean it's the least you can do for the price you've been charging for it.
