We’ve been coming here since 2019 and just love it. The menu changes regularly which is part of the charm. And everything we’ve eaten is amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We cannot recommend them enough. Definitely a bit of a hidden gem (it’s literally in the middle of the Oakwood neighborhood!) in downtown Raleigh. Mark has been our server many times and we just love him!!!

This spot is an absolute gem! The quiet outdoor seating creates the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening, whether you’re catching up with friends or just enjoying some peaceful downtime. The customer service was outstanding — attentive and friendly without ever feeling rushed. Prices were very reasonable, especially given the quality of both the food and drinks. Their selection of spirits and beers was impressive, offering something for everyone. A wonderful place to unwind — I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a ‘to go’ order of a thick-cut pork chop and roasted vegetables with a slice of chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely delicious, seasoned well and seared perfectly, and the staff was extremely helpful!

Good God this place was good. My fam and I ordered a bunch of small plates to share and they were all equally incredible. Simple food cooked so, so well.
The cucumber tomato salad was perfectly vinegary and salty and somehow a little sweet. The fries were also perfect... I've gone my entire life eating good, even great fries, but these were so good I'm currently considering dropping everything and driving ten hours to Raleigh. Seriously! Key lime pie was also great, and the staff was absolutely awesome in every way.

Grate little dive in a quiet section of Raleigh, wait staff is super friendly and the food is great with a great variety of items that kind of surprised me. Portions are generous, the drink menu is creative and so is the dinner menu. Wouldn't be surprised to see the on Diners, Driveins and Dives someday. Only downside is it can get loud inside if you get a loudmouthed table or two.

First time at SmokeStacks and won't be the last! Went for brunch on a Saturday. Ordered one of the drink specials - a watermelon margarita. One of the best cocktails I have ever had! Had the Smoked Steak & Cheese Hash. Steak was cooked perfectly and the cheese potatoes were extra crispy and flavorful. The cheese sauce puts the meal over the top!
