Best food I've had in Raleigh I always feel like my bill should be more when I go because they are putting out culinary masterpieces for pennies on the dollar and it's such a low key spot I go multiple times a week some weeks because they change the menu daily who else is doing this in the triangle if I could give it more then 5 stars I would

Fantastic place to eat! I was told this place was a " hidden treasure " by a friend and he was absolutely right. I got the crab stuffed avocado and it was delicious! I never had that before and it was the best meal that I have had in a long time. The menu changes every day and they have great Cheifs. Very highly recommended..

Holy smokes! This place is delicious. Tucked away in a neighborhood with no fanfare, you might walk right by smokestacks. Unless, however, you are prone to venture into unknown cafés. So glad we did! We arrived pretty early on a Saturday evening around 530 before things started to get busy. Immediately someone whom I believe isthe owner set about turning on the game at our request and joking around. Other diners joined in, and it felt like we were amongst friends. We eased into our meal with a couple of great cocktails, and of course, a basket of pork skins. Skins were delicious… crispy and not overly greasy. Cooked perfectly. For apps we enjoyed collard wraps. Collardswas on the menu that day. Interestingly, the menu changes every single day. I was eyeing allthe entrees around me before we settled on the shrimp and grits and short rib dishes. The short rib literally fell off the bone, no knife needed. The shrimp ( + a few scallops!)and grits did not disappoint either with the cheesiest and creamiest grits I’ve ever had. Entrees were well portioned and very satisfying. Flavor combinations were on point! My only regret is that I did not order the chocolate cake immediately. By the time we finished our main entrées, the restaurant had started to feel, and the cake was gone. Tip: if you see a great cake on the counter, go ahead and order! We satisfied our sweet tooth with delicious homemade cookies. We lingered a couple of hours, enjoying all of our dishes, cocktails, and a couple glasses of wine. As we neared dinner time, the place was definitely filling. I did notice that several families arrived with small kids, so be prepared for that if you are looking for a quiet, intimate place. This is a neighborhood café, and the clientele reflect that. I cannot wait to return to smokestacks!

Yall, this place has delicious food:1. Deviled eggs with pork rinds on top. Pork rinds crunchiness was a really nice addition and the seasoning on the egg was delicious.2. Brisket sandwich was phenomenal, the egg yolk runniness in it was a really nice touch.3. The pork belly was really smoky and delicious. Maybe my fav pork belly, but the Dutch baby was just ok. I think with some more syrup or flavor it would have been better.A++ would go again

I absolutely love this place. My fiance and I dined here last night. I loved the quaint and homey atmosphere. The food was phenomenal and made with love. Our server Ashlee was warm and welcoming. I look forward to dinning here again. I also enjoy that the menu changes daily. We had the deviled eggs, sweet potato and goat cheese balls, mini duck quesadillias, bone yard, oatmeal cream pies, and Ashlee's birthday cake.We ate very well.?

Dropped by this cute little place after a Plant Walk in Oakwood Cemetery. The food was just right, warm, tasty, and filling in a bright cold afternoon. We'll be back!

The food takes an obscene amount of time to prepare and serve. We arrived at 12:30 and it’s 1:50 and still no mains. They claim that everything is made from scratch and the menu has select items that include things like 20-min prep time - none of which my party ordered. Sorely disappointed…

Love this neighborhood restaurant! It's located relatively close to downtown and five points and appears to be a converted house now restaurant. Parking is easy. There's options for indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamps available). The menu changes daily so check out their IG to stay up to date of what they are offering each day. So far I've been a few times and the food and service is excellent and consistent. Each time, I went for a seafood option and the plates were very flavor and generous. The staff are attentive and strive to meet every need. Pro tip: have someone in your party get there early to put your name on the list. Every time I've visited, I've had to wait 20-40 minutes. I think it's just due to the size and capacity of the restaurant. Don't let this deter you from visiting. It is worth the wait!!
