Smoothie King

Being from out of town I was very excited to see a smoothie king right next to the gym! Upon entering, the atmosphere seemed very sad and low energy. Both days I went the young woman appeared down in the dumps. The shakes were great, just odd vibe.

I used to come to this location all the time so I figured today would be as great of an experience as then. The staff aren’t professional; one employee wears a bonnet while talking on the phone, you should not be touching anything but food when having gloves on. One hiding out in the restroom while there’s a long line, and one working the register. No one greets you, the one on the phone was still on the phone while making smoothies and taking orders. Very unsanitary environment, I will not be back.

Ok so this is 1st where my original location is open but not open 7:35am im thinking I've got 7 extra minutes enough time to stop while I'm passing. Idk whether something happened at closing to where morning had to deal with it but I wasn't willing to wait because I was in the rain an she clearly saw me ! So I guess I won't be getting anything today 😕!

Been here twice and the woman behind the counter was so rude both times. She acted like I inconveniencing her by simply wanting to order. I came in 10 minutes before closing time and she refused to take my order even though I was the only one in there and she was on her phone. She didn't even look up at me until I asked her why she wouldn't take my order.

Ordered two drinks. Gave $2 tip ahead of time. They made one and then we waited 10 minutes while they made 7 drinks for other people who ordered after us. $22 for two smoothies that took 15 minutes to make. 🤦‍♂️

It closed 30 minutes early

I visit here often through out the week (atleast 4 times). Vee, the manager who has been here for over a year now(she told me) has worked REALLY hard. Many of days I seen her working alone, but she still coming back. I read a review from someone else, and I must say that, some people just dont get this thing called Life. Ive seen Vee work her tail off, and if she has a different moment she can have it, because working alone in the food industry is Pressure. So, I say, if you dont like accepting people under pressure stay home because every moment in every day isnt treated the same. Im in route to my Peanutbutter Power Plus.Have a great day .....

I’be come to this smoothie king multiple times around 8/9AM. And the manager V (she has long locs) is absolutely rude. She watched me walk in the building (the lights were dim), and sat in the back on her phone. As I walked to the counter to order, she didn’t say one moment or walk to the front to greet me. After a minute or 2 she walked up looking me dead in my eyes and got to the counter and said “good morning” in an unpleasant and dry demeanor, as if she didn’t want to serve me. As she said that I said “good morning and asked is she okay” she then proceeded to say in a rude manner “yeah, why you ask that because I made eye contact with you” I said “no it’s because you seen me walk in and didn’t greet me or tell me one moment, you sat on your phone”, she then proceeded to say “ that’s how you perceived it, I was on an email” then proceeded to give me a “death stare” I then ordered my food, she asked for my name and I asked for hers…… this is not her first time being nasty to me and I honestly don’t know if it’s because the area she’s in, I’ve witnessed her on multiple occasions greet people that are not my ethnicity WAAAY better than me. I guess she may assume that because I don’t come in there dressed up and I’m black and pregnant that I’m ghetto. But that’s far from the facts. I don’t appreciate her rude and unwelcoming demeanor, lack of customer service, lack of attentiveness, lack of respect, lack of decorum, or her service at all. If I could give it no stars I absolutely would.

Also it was another time before that I informed her that her employees hair was dangling in the fruits as she made smoothies, and she said “oh okay” didn’t correct the young lady or anything and that’s highly unsanitary. I usually don’t leave reviews but something has to be addressed at this establishment . It’s a very unprofessional look especially with this being the only smoothie king in Raleigh for at least 30 miles.

Best Smoothie King in the country, I’ll bet…because no one else has V taking care of things. If you are lucky enough to know V, you are lucky enough.

Ordered two bowls they were delicious! However the service was mediocre and there was no indoor seating and the restroom was closed.

This location closes at 9 pm. I went into the location at 8:43 pm on a Wednesday night and was told as I walked in that they were closed. The OPEN sign was on and the door was not locked. I told the lady that the close time was listed as 9 pm. She told me the location was now closed. Find better service or provide better training to the staff.

Girls were all joking by the register the whole time. I’m the only one in here and took twenty minutes to get one smoothie. So immature.
